I wouldn’t have thought to find such a fantastic place in Scranton, PA. The atmosphere is cozy, drinks are fantastic and unique, and the food! The dumplings were great, reminded me of dim sum dishes. We also had the Hungarian pepperoni pizza which was delicious and greasy and just a perfect companion for drinks. Service was fast and the bartenders are knowledgeable. The Texas Sun cocktail was so good I would love to try and replicate it at home.

Holy sweet lord - do people know about this place? If I had a magic wand and could make a perfect restaurant, it would be a copy + paste of The 16th Ward. Un-freakin-believable. 10/10, will recommend.

From the moment we entered this place I knew it was something special. Very speakeasy type vibes. The entire staff and especially the owner were absolutely incredible. The drinks, the food, the mood was super. I haven’t had an experience like this in a long time. This place will definitely be on my short list of go to spots. I feel like you can order anything on the menu and you will be supremely happy. I know I will be. Top notch.

16th Ward was one of the few places open late on a Sunday as my wife and I were driving home from a long trip. We received absolutely amazing service, great drinks, and phenomenal food! Every aspect of our time at 16 Ward was top-notch! Having just had two disappointing dinners the past two nights at two highly acclaimed restaurants in the Fingers Lakes, 16th Ward was not a planned stop but was an amazing discovery! We will be back many more times! It was not until I went to write a review (something I rarely ever do), that I realized that our amazing host/server was the owner. He could not have been nicer! Amazing experience and priced well below what many of us often pay for much lower quality food, drinks, and service. Thank you!

I very rarely give 5 stars, but this place deserves it. The drinks and food were great, but the service and atmosphere were amazing. The style screams class. Highly recommend!

16th Ward in Scranton is a great spot for good beer, great food, and a laid-back vibe. Their craft beer selection is excellent, with plenty of options to try. The menu has something for everyone, and everything we had was top-notch.

The Caesar salad was super flavorful, with crispy greens and croutons that were just the right amount of crunchy. But the real star was the Hungarian pepperoni with hot honey pizza—the perfect mix of spicy, sweet, and savory on a perfectly baked crust. Absolutely delicious!

Our server, Mike, was awesome—friendly, attentive, and knew his stuff when it came to the beer list. If you’re in Scranton and looking for great food and drinks, 16th Ward is definitely worth a visit!

We had a reservation for 715 and arrived about 710. They were running a little behind and we didn't actually get seated until about 740. BUT! We were updated on the status of our table many times, found a place at the bar to wait, and were met with plenty of apologies. I was 100% thrilled with the service and hospitality we were shown!
The food was delicious and came in a timely fashion. The atmosphere was lovely. AND the creme bulee was amazing!
We will be back!

Terrible attitude from the bald looking man at the front. He turned away the three of us (women), claiming there were no tables available within seconds of us entering the restaurant. However, a man who came in right after us was seated with his friends immediately. To test it, we called the restaurant from right outside, and they confirmed they had tables available. This felt incredibly shady. My friends and I always enjoy dining out and are willing to spend generously if the food is good, but we’ll never know in this case. I won’t be returning due to what seems like either discrimination or blatant disrespect toward women.

The place was busy when we got there, so it was understandable that the staff was hustling. The food was very bland, the burger tasted like it was just ground beef formed into a patty with no seasoning on it, with the only flavor coming from the cheese. The chips were soaked in oil and had no salt, maybe just a hint of garlic to them. The space is beautiful, but the food was a let down.

Food was absolutely stunning. Wish I ordered 3 crème brûlées and ate them all for my meal. 14/10 would return again
