Great staff, good pizza, cash only... that would have been nice to know. No thank you.

I didn't eat there but I liked the vibe of the place. They had a good draft and bottle selection. The bartenders were great. There is a pool table, darts, and games of chance. I'll be back to try the food.

This bar is a hidden treasure nestled in a serene neighborhood. Its wings and pizza are top-notch and definitely worth sampling. While they host a special wing night, their prices are generally affordable. Trivia enthusiasts will appreciate the well-organized trivia night every Thursday. They offer a solid selection of drinks, boast an excellent staff, and maintain a clean environment. One downside is the cash-only policy; it would be beneficial to switch to card payments, even if it means slightly higher prices to cover transaction fees. Despite this, I highly recommend visiting this fantastic spot.

Wanted to try this place for a while. The place was very busy, so we expected slightly slower service, but not this bad. After grabbing the menu from the table behind us, the waitress took our drink order and left. It took a while to come back and I watched as she served several other bar patrons before bringing us our sodas. No worries, they were there first. She was super friendly and upbeat, talking up the food. When I ordered the hot wind stromboli, she immediately said she had it last night and it was delicious. Then added that the owner was cooking mine and it would probably be even better with him on the line.We ordered the food (the pretzels, a hot wing Stromboli, and the smashburger) and waited. The Stromboli came out first, then we waited a while longer for the pretzels and burger. Finally they came out. The pretzels were okay. Nothing fancy and surely not something I expected to wait over 20 minutes for, but they were still good. The hot wing stromboli was absolutely to die for. Delicious and would order again if I go back. My boyfriend said ther burger patties were good but the rest was nothing notable. The fries were absolutely overdone and we dunked them in the bleu cheese from the Stromboli to make them edible. Way over cooked for sure.Overall, the best parts were the super friendly waitress (long dark hair) and the stromboli. I want to give the place a chance to redeem themselves, so I'm hoping to go back eventually! It's walking distance from our apartment, so maybe in the spring.Parking: Very limited spots at the place. Street parking around is plentiful

This was my first time back since new management turned a good bar into a GREAT BAR - the 1905 Tavern!!! Only had “Hot Caesar” wings which were great and a couple Outlaw beers!?? Can’t wait to come back and try other things on the menu because they all look delicious! Bartenders & other patrons were all friendly! Reasonable prices! Overall, a great, fun night!

The wings are incredible. You took us from waldos for wing night, that was no easy feat. The hot apple pie is a must have and the ragin Cajun blue balls are a close second. The inferno garlic parm is pretty dope too!Huge kudos on the sugar free redbull! The pizza is pretty good too !All in all i can't recommend it enough. You gotta get more help in there on wing night though. It's not fair to anyone, especially the poor girl with 6 tables, a full bar, food and drinks to run....it's a lot.Parking: Meh.Kid-friendliness: We brought my 8 year old last run through. We were there roughly 630 - 830. Zero issues .

I went to get a pizza to go and stayed for 3 hours. They were doing a charity event for the local community then the karaoke crew came in. Lots of fun!!! I needed this. Thanks to everybody there, I could go on and on and on. Just go and prepare to stay and have a good time.Parking: I was able to get a spot within a block and the place was packed.

The Ragin Cajun Blue Ball wings were some of the best I've had in a long time. Crispy with the perfect amount of sauce.

Out of town for work. Went there last night 1/4/24 for dinner and drinks. First off, food is amazing. But the service is extremely lacking. We waited over 20 minutes just to order drinks, there were 3 bartenders and we were sitting at the bar, right in front of the taps. Finally got drinks and it went downhill from there. My buddy who was sitting right beside me was waited on normally. His drink was refilled a few times. I had 1 bottle of beer the entire time and I didn’t get asked if I wanted another till we were getting our check. It was empty and sitting at the back of the bar for over 45 minutes. Apparently if you aren’t a regular here, they don’t care. Then we come to find out this is a CASH ONLY establishment. They have an atm but it’s a $2.50 fee to use it. No signs saying cash only and we weren’t told till after we racked up a $50 tab with food. Who lets someone open a tab without telling them it’s cash only??? We were using the company cc to pay for dinner as we were out of town and instead this trip came out of our own pockets. Ridiculous. Won’t be back. Maybe if we are in town I’d do takeout for a pizza as it was good food, but that’s it. Nice looking place, clean, good food, horrible service.

If you've never been to 1905 Tavern in Scranton PA, you should ask yourself what you've been doing with your life. I know I did during my 1st visit.  A great wing bar and increasingly popular watering hole to enjoy live music and tasty drinks. Once you visit, it's easy to see why.One thing that sets this bar apart from the rest: its wings are cooked the way you like and sauced to pure perfection. Their wings aren't ginormous or minis like you find at some wing spots, they are a jumbo party I believe, crispy, covered in home made sauce, and the perfect size in my opinion. It may feel less traditional than your usual wing spot like buffalo wild wings, but if you know quality wings, you know it is the hidden gems like The 1905 that fry up the best. After my 1st but definitely not my last visit.  It is clear that the owners and staff take pride in their kitchen and establishment by producing some of the best-tasting wings you're going to find in the Scranton area today.Highly recommended *****
