A must eat at bar and grill. Located on the 2nd floor of the Marketplace at Steamtown. Paul the owner/chef was super personable and cooked our food to order. Nothing was pre-cooked. I had the shrimp poboy and my husband had the Philly cheese steak both were AMAZING!!!!! This is a must stop in the Scranton, PA. Love us some Betty's bar and grill.

Dropped in for a late lunch while traveling, and the owner made sure to spend time with customers but was also cooking. He uses his mother’s recipes for several of the items, like the tuna and chicken salad, and the fish and chips - my son called the fish and chips a 9 out of 10, my wife loved her tuna melt, and my burger was great. Add that to the service-oriented owner and staff, and a casual, leisurely Sunday lunch became are really fun and charming experience. Definitely swing by, and enjoy some of his mom’s recipes - she’s the “Betty” in the name. I never write reviews - ever - but Paul made an impression and when someone is passionate and wants to honor their mom and achieve their dream, they need our support. So go have a great meal and help this restaurant thrive!

We say there for an hour waiting for our food. Never ended up getting it. My wine was warm. Our other alcohol beverages were not even good. I wouldn’t recommend. And it was a little over priced.

The moment I walked in I was greeted with a kindled atmosphere. The kind that transverse me as if I was near a fireplace with soothing music playing. The company was outstanding and more than happy to help out. The food is delectable it's not a large menu but that's how you know it's good. They focus on what's good and they take their time to garentee what you eat will be a satisfying experience. Food is all soul food and ital. great environment with many fun activities and events such as the “All Black” dance party. Stop in for a Samuel Adams and some Jerk Chicken whenever you’re in The Electric City !!!
