Great spot for seafood and tavern classics! BJ’s Market Street Tavern & Oyster Bar offers a fun blend of fresh oysters, seafood starters, and comfort food like burgers and wings. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, especially on Thursday through Saturday evenings, with a mix of locals and visitors enjoying the menu and drinks. The oyster selections and crab dips are frequently mentioned as highlights by diners.

Been coming to Bj’s for years.. Stopped in Saturday for dinner and was extremely dissatisfied. When we looked at the menu it was extremely limited barely ANY Bj’s classics. No ribs, no wings, no pork bbq nachos. On top of that they were out of half the entrees on the menu.. If you’re going to take away majority of your food options and do a limited menu you probably shouldn’t be running out on a saturday night. Server was nice and apologetic.. Hopefully they’ll go back to the regular menu. Don’t take away the things you’re known for!

Made the drive in hopes of reliving the Danville BJ's Chicago steak & old fashion cocktail legacy.. ended up as disappointed as the lady in the painting on the wall here. The steak was just OK, the salad was mostly red cabbage & onion. The burger fell apart (old bun maybe) and the boom boom sauce didn't seem to have any flavor. Hopeful this was an isolated bad night in the kitchen and to have a different experience another time.

Happy to see they brought back the Bayou Shrimp! However, the roux was like water and what they called a 1/2 pound of shrimp consisted of 12 tiny shrimp. Flavor was great but you need to create a roux and give the customers 1/2 pound of shrimp as the menu indicates! Smoke house salad was excellent!

Live somewhat local and this was my first time here. Arrived for a 7pm reservation. Seated and ordered by 7:10. Didn’t get food until almost 8:30. Wasn’t offered any explanation or that sort of thing for the wait. Numerous tables around us were chatting and I could tell experiencing the same. As for the food… ordered the “award winning” Classic Burger and let’s just say I’d rather have ate McDonald’s. Dry, cold, and just downright awful. Girlfriend’s scallops were tiny and the pasta was cold. For almost $70 I could have went to Texas Roadhouse right up the road and got a much better dinner for half the price. Needless to say I’d give 0 stars if I could… we won’t be back.

New Years Eve 6pm reservations for 6 got seated upstairs and finally ordered at 6:30 and food never came till 8:15pm and steak was to be medium rare and was burned completely dry and baked potato was to have extra sour cream and had a smear instead and ran out of corn bread now lets get to the burned up crab cake that was inedible and the baked potato for that meal was mashed potato so guess what they ran out of baked potatoes and didn't tell us not that it matters mine was inedible and also ran out of deserts not that I would have ordered one and bought $50 gift certificates where you get free bongo dip and they changed it to $25 gift certificate get free bongo so I told the hostess at the door I want the rest of my certificates and said she couldn't do that!!!! Manager finally came to our table at 8:45pm and made everything right for us so shout out to the bar manager and our sweet waitress that was also upset at what her job presented her that night.I will be back but bongo and smokehouse salad is what is safe to order!!

What a disappointment. Third floor dining room smelled like an ash tray. I’m not sensitive to this in any way shape or form, but it was repulsive and the driving force behind me posting a review. Aside from the stench, maybe play some music through the speakers so people aren’t sitting in silence smelling cigs. They food was edible. Not good, but I’m trying to not sound spiteful in this review. That being said, the wings are a far cry from what they used to be and don’t ask me how I want a burger cooked if you’re just going to give me a dry, well-done patty. The server was pleasant.

This place is a classic! Fanciest version of contemporary Pennsylvania fair, but also modern interesting takes. Definitely the fanciest seafood I've had in this part of the world. Their appetizers are fantastic. They also cook their steaks to perfection. They will also include anchovies on their Caesar salads which I really enjoy. If you don't want to have a banquet, their bar is fantastic! They have a lot of great stuff on tap and they use name brand alcohol for all of their mixed drinks. I didn't see any cheap mixers behind the bar. The bar tender was knowlegable and friendly. She was also happy to modify anything you asked her for. Over all I Loved this place. Only thing that was a little questionable was the sort of outside cold bathroom. That's kind of a trademark of this part of the world though.

Took my wife out for a date night. Got to Bjs around 6:15 in the evening. The place was dead only like 3 tables. This was our first time there. The placed looked great. We were sat at a table and ordered drinks from the drink menu right away. The first 2 drinks my wife ordered the didn't have the liquors to make. We both ordered appetizers. She got the bongo bongo dip, and I got a dozen of hot wings. The bongo bongo dip was okay, but my wings on the other hand were not even close to being okay. It came out cold, they looked really old.And you can tell that they were not cooked fresh. I had asked the server if they precook their wings or if my wings had sat for a long period of time, and she told me that she thinks that the kitchen precooks their wings and then adds their sauce to them later per order. They were the worst wings I have ever gotten in a restaurant. I was extremely disappointed at eighteen dollars for a dozen of wings. And as long as it took them to bring the wings and the dip out, they could have made them fresh. For the main course, my wife ordered a medium burger. And I ordered scallop scampi. My wife's burger was not medium. It was extra well done like a hockey puck. My scallop scampi did not taste like any scampi I've ever had in my life. It was dry, sticky, no sauce. My noodles were brown, like they were tossed in the same pan that they seared the scallops in. And had absolutely no flavor other than oil. The thing that frustrates me the most about this experience was not once did a manager come to our table. Never seen a manager walk around or talking to the very few tables that were there. There was also a table that was two tables behind us that had a problem with their food and we heard the server tell them that they will take it off of their check. Our server was very attentive. I believe her name was Ashley. She did a great job always checking on us and making sure our drinks were full.

Food is awful. Dry and tasteless food. Way over priced. We are not usually this picky but it was a complete turn off. Not even a manager came to check on us after our complaints. Our waitress was sweet and kind tho.

We've been going to BJs for two decades now (shock!) and the menu is consistently good with new options to keep it fresh.

We sat in the bar with friends this time and the booths should really be affixed. The person behind us said their bench almost fell off the slightly raised platform, and our two benches (in the middle) got pushed together enough from both sides that I had to ask the tables on either side of us to help us to push them back out so we could actually fit.

Server did the best he could for obviously being understaffed. Restaurants....dont be gready! Stop overloading your restaurant without the help to support! Waited an hour hungry for mediocre food. Pork nachos with.....sorry, we're out of pico de gallo. Dried out pork cheese n bean. Just yuk. Now see what ya got??? A bad review. Stop!

First the server was terrible, she brought our food & didn't give us silverware, we sat there and the food got cold & I had to get them myself, then I had to ask another server to get ours, also we were missing condiments & side dishes, when I questioned her she said she was busy with other tables, I said that's terrible customer service, what about us, also the food was not good , crab cakes horrible, chicken, yuk, bad experience and expensive.

Bongo bongo dip appetizer is a must have, and the filet mignon is particularly excellent every time.

I have been everywhere in US, coast to coast entertaining customers and working out on company expense account. To my surprise, had one of the best meals ever at BJ's. Rockefeller and 10 oz Chicago sirloin were perfect! Going back this Saturday with a group from Bucknell Réunion.
