Honest review of our experience at BJ’s tonight: We took two of our kids and two friends for a casual family dinner—no reservations, just hoping for a good meal and a fun time. When we arrived, they asked if we minded sitting upstairs, which we didn’t, so we headed up. As we made our way to the stairwell, we were hit with an overwhelming scent—like someone had dumped a gallon of Febreze down the hall. At first, we brushed it off, but once we got upstairs, it was clear why. The entire area smelled like a smoking bar, and the heavy air freshener was a poor attempt at covering it up. I made a passing comment that it smelled like a smoking bar, and the hostess shot me a dirty look—not exactly the welcoming vibe we were hoping for. Luckily, our servers saved the night. They were absolutely amazing—funny, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of. If it weren’t for them, we probably would have left. Now, onto the food. Two people at our table ordered the prime rib special, which came out in a small thin portion, overcooked and dry with no au jus. It was served with a side of some kind of pudding-like bisquit that couldn’t be substituted, so we gave it a try… and well.. there’s no words. Multiple steaks at the table were also overcooked, which was disappointing. And for the price? Definitely not worth it. The food didn’t live up to any standard, and for what they charge, you’d expect a much better experience all around. We eat out frequently and love trying new places, so we understand that not every meal is going to be perfect—but for the cost and the overall experience, this one really missed the mark. The only real highlight of the night was the fantastic service from our waitresses. They made the best of an otherwise rough visit, and we truly appreciated them. But between the lingering cigarette smell mixed with air freshener. subpar food, high prices, and the off-putting attitude from the hostess, I can’t say we’ll be in a hurry to come back. Hoping BJ’s can take some feedback and make improvements because the potential is there, but tonight just wasn’t it.
Food was ok. Steak was over cooked. Waitress forgot several items but we had a party of 10 so I know it was not easy but they weren't busy at the time we went

We throughly enjoyed our first visit! The historical ambiance was exciting, the severs were fun and the food was excellent. We had clams casino and reveled in it. The fish and steak were also done very well. We ate early and left as the restaurant was filling up. A nice menu selection.

Located in the middle of Selinsgrove's historic Market St, this BJ's location provided the same fine food and service as their location in Danville PA ... that we have been going to for years. Props to our waitress Cassie who delivered exceptional service with a smile!

Rode into town after a 4 hour ride
We had wings that were fantastic
Split the 14 oz NY Strip and it was cooked perfectly.
Kayla was our waitress and she was a gem-attentive and prompt without being overbearing
Good pours were noted on the wine and kudos to the chef. The steak was cooked to perfection.
If I’m ever up this stretch of the Susquehanna River, I’ll be sure to stop by again

A very special group of ladies in my circle have been getting together to just be together and enjoy excellent food, fabulous service, and a perfect atmosphere for a very long time. Our out-of-town friends love coming back again and again.

Currently sitting in the restaurant that is more than half empty. Took 15 minutes to get our drinks, another 20 minutes for salad/soup. Clam chowder tasted like the whole juice of a lemon was poured in it. Out of cole slaw, out of crayons. Now just waiting for over 30 minutes for our food to ever get here…..while sitting next to empty tables besides 3.
Update: ordered steak medium rare, some pink but top and bottom were a complete crisp. Baked potato and fries were lukewarm.
Disappointing when you recommend this for dinner to your family and it was an absolute fail.
