Great spot for seafood and tavern classics! BJ’s Market Street Tavern & Oyster Bar offers a fun blend of fresh oysters, seafood starters, and comfort food like burgers and wings. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, especially on Thursday through Saturday evenings, with a mix of locals and visitors enjoying the menu and drinks. The oyster selections and crab dips are frequently mentioned as highlights by diners.
Happy to see they brought back the Bayou Shrimp! However, the roux was like water and what they called a 1/2 pound of shrimp consisted of 12 tiny shrimp. Flavor was great but you need to create a roux and give the customers 1/2 pound of shrimp as the menu indicates! Smoke house salad was excellent!
This place is a classic! Fanciest version of contemporary Pennsylvania fair, but also modern interesting takes. Definitely the fanciest seafood I've had in this part of the world. Their appetizers are fantastic. They also cook their steaks to perfection. They will also include anchovies on their Caesar salads which I really enjoy. If you don't want to have a banquet, their bar is fantastic! They have a lot of great stuff on tap and they use name brand alcohol for all...
