This brewery is very dog and kid friendly with a very relaxed atmosphere . Lots of outdoor space and outdoor seating so you never struggle to find a seat. The staff has always been friendly and the drinks are very reasonably priced.

Best brewery around hands down! Best beer in Pittsburgh that we have tried so far and the staff are all amazing. It's family friendly so expect kids running around outside and playing in the creek. Parents: bring towels, a change of clothes, and snacks! It's also dog friendly with leash stakes & water bowls around. They get the BEST food trucks, we've never had a bad meal here. We come here year-round as they light up the fire pits when it's cool/cold outside. They don't serve IPAs, it's all German lager style beers, there's a big selection of different kinds, just no IPAs. I read through the reviews and most of the 4 stars have absolutely nothing bad to say, so confused why someone would knock down their ratings but have nothing bad to say. Kristi in particular is the sweetest and we love when she's working! It's an awesome place to host events, but you need to be aware that if you don't pay a dime to rent the whole place out, it's still open to the public. We have had several events here and it was fantastic. If you're planning to have a large group, inform them so they can staff up and be prepared!!!! Pretty sure you can also rent out the whole place on nights they're not open.

I cannot recommend this place more! Fantastic staff, super cool atmosphere, great (live) music, fire pits, dog friendly, and family friendly. They even have smore kits for sale to use at the fire pits! 😍 Oh and it's a brewery so the beer selection is awesome as well!

Support your very local brewer and get down to the Big Sewickley nano Brewery by the creek. Beers are about average for such a venue, but the vibe is quite cool, with plenty of outdoor seating, tables, fire pits, etc. Nice.

Had my friend’s baby shower here Saturday. Spoke with an employee via email for 3 months (several emails) and was told they would love to accommodate. The person I communicated with was very friendly…or so I thought. When I arrived, I was yelled at by the bartender and told they don’t do reservations. I let the bartender know I had been speaking with someone about it for several months and was yelled at again asking “what do you want me to do?!” I asked to speak with the employee that I had been emailing with, but was just yelled at some more. Turns out, the bartender WAS the person I had been emailing with! She was incredibly rude and acted like she had no idea what I was talking about! She never identified herself. NEVER apologized. And ruined our special day. I left a review on facebook and was blocked from their page. This woman also reached out to a mutual friend trying to get my phone number! The whole situation was insane!

Editing my review to say the owners response is absurd! I have several emails as proof of KRISTI stating that they do events like ours all the time and they would love to accommodate us. When I arrived at the bar that day, I didn’t even ask her for anything! We had already found our own seats! I was just letting her know our group was there and was treated so horribly! I STILL never received an apology. Her attitude and customer service were absolutely horrendous! I’d love to share every email with the owner as proof of the misinformation I was clearly given, but it seems they don’t care. Also disconcerting that this employee trying to track down my phone number is not being addressed. This all could have been handled privately had I just been offered an apology. That woman should be fired and the owners should be more concerned with how their customers are treated. Of you think this had to do with reservations, you are completely missing the point. Your bartender yelled at me like a crazy person! That is the issue!

After talking with a staff member for a few months about having a baby shower at the brewery and being told it was no problem and we would be accommodated, I was greeted with an extremely rude bartender who yelled at me and told me they didn’t take reservations! Turns out, the extremely rude bartender WAS the person I had been emailing with. She acted like she had no idea what I was talking about and yelled at me again asking “what I wanted her to do?” I actually didn’t even want anything from her! My friends had already found us open tables and I was just simply letting her know our party was there. I have NO IDEA why I was treated so rudely. Thanks for ruining a special day.

This brewery is 15 minutes from Sewickley. Plenty of parking with a blue roadside sign and blue building. The bar area is extremely small with limited seating. We sat on the patio (plenty of seating) with lovely space heaters. The location is quite lovely. My companion had a beer which he stated was delicious. I wasn’t in the mood for beer so had a Merlot from Narcisi winery which was vinegary and sour. This is about 30 minutes from my house so o may return in the warmer weather.
