“This place is absolutely outstanding. They’ve been in business since the 80s, and when you walk in, it screams classic charm. I go into some bakeries and everything looks so tidy and boring - this place, you look at the stuff behind the glass and you KNOW it’s gonna be delicious. I had a birthday cake custom made for my wife, and it was perfectly baked. While I was waiting in line to pick it up, I was browsing what was available to munch on - I got an oatmeal raisin cookie for my wife and a pumpkin pie bar for myself - both were delicious. They are so friendly here and I love it. Can’t recommend it enough.“

“I cannot stress enough how amazing your restaurant and staff are. We’ve been patrons for years and have never experienced any issues. Our most recent two visits with our 3 young grandchildren were effortless! We love the food and staff so much. I will mention Vince as he waited on us both times and is so attentive as ALL the staff we have had. We love the mother/daughter staff, but I regret that I don’t know their names. My personal favorite is the custom calzone. I asked for thin dough and both meat and marinara sauce on the side. I was delighted that it was all perfect and I took half home! “Delicious, fresh Hawaiian food with the meal being created right in front of you. The young man who build my Cali poke bowl was very aware how he put the different ingredients on the bowl. My husband got fish and chips. The fish was fresh and very flavorful and the fries were the best. Definitely a place to return for a tastey rather quick meal.“

“This cookie/sandwich shop has risen to the top in so many ways! We live in FL and our daughter lives in Pittsburgh and it was her birthday. I looked up cookie places and GoodL’Oven cookie shop in Bellevue popped up, I liked the name so I gave them a call😁 Next was where the experience began, I spoke to John, the baker, who listened to my story like he had all the time in the world, he navigated me thru their delicious cookie menu and which cookies are the people pleasers, then I decided to order sandwiches which he recommended the French Connection & Muffalata. But to top it off, (they are typically not a delivery place) he arranged to have my order delivered to my daughter’s place! She was so surprised and raved about the cookies and Sammie’s! In this day and age, there are not many people or places that go beyond, but John, you were OVER THE TOP! Thank you for making my day AND our daughter’s! “Absolutely delicious! What made it extra special is that they partner with Robert Morris University. At the start of the semester, RMU sent an email about signing up for their birthday club to possibly win a cake! I feel so lucky, and the owners were such amazing, lovely people. We brought this cake to a friends house for soup cook-off. Although we were voting for our favorite soup, everyone agreed the lemon cake was the true winner - there were no leftovers! “We hired Noel at Mami’s Bakes to do cookies for our wedding rehearsal dinner and they were amazing! Everyone thought they were so delicious and had no idea they were vegan and gluten free. The red velvet cookie was totally amazing. We also ordered mini banana bread loaves for our wedding welcome bags and got so many compliments from guests! Noel was so nice to work with and took time for phone calls to make sure everything was perfect. We’ve also done orders just for fun or for holidays which have also all been delicious. Some of us in my family are vegan, some gluten free, and it’s so nice around the holidays to be able to pick up something delicious that everyone can eat. This year we ordered the coffee cake for Christmas morning and it was a huge hit, soo delicious! The cuban coffee cake is also insanely good!“

“MY friend and I went there on Saturday to celebrate our birthdays..Our server Adam was simply amazing. He patiently waited for us to decide on our drink order and went as far as to let us try the drink to see if we liked it, which we didn’t but he took it off our bill and then brought us a birthday card and wished us a happy birthday. The food was very delicious. But our main complaint comes down to Adam !! He was so fantastic and such a kind person . They truly have a rare gem in him as an employee! I hope they appreciate him because he is what makes it a truly wonderful experience there. We will definitely go back there and if we are lucky Adam will be our server.!!!“

“We tried JW Hall's last evening a party of seven of us. this was our first time there and certainly will not be our last. we all had different meals and not one complaint. service was excellent, food was perfectly seasoned and cooked and hot when it came out. Service was okay, not overly friendly.

We just ordered the spared ribs with fried rice and an egg roll. We forgot to get boneless spareribs. It would have had more meat than bone as the bone in was a bit tough.

Prices were very reasonable for that area.“
