The food, service and seating are all good. It's also great they are open 24/7. But, the reason for the low rating is because of the s silliness management has of not allowing heat in the place between 10 pm and 5 am. And not having certain food available after 10. How the heck does the management think customers will frequent the place overnight if there's no heat? It's COLD in winter! No heat in the diner and having to wear a coat and hat and being cold/uncomfortable means they are doing a great job pushing customers away. Wake up, management! I get you have a computerized system to save energy costs overnight but is pushing away customers (and staff) who dislike the cold away a way to make money? News Flash-i will not come here again overnight until late spring or summer so you lost my friend and I for half the year because of management's desire to save some heating cost. Bottom line- I recommend this place during the day and evening but unless you don't mind the cold, avoid it overnight. If that leads to the diner being closed overnight, so be it. There are other overnight choices, places not on the cheap, and willing to respect the customers enough to not make them be uncomfortable and cold while paying for their food.

To say the food and service here was bad last night is a terrible understatement. I have no idea if this review will do any good, but it is the type of local restaurant that gives your poorly managed fast food chain look like a treasure. Stay far away is our advice.

good French toast. decent coffee. great waitress. we were there late morning so it wasn't busy. our food was inexpensive, good, and arrived quickly. it's a genuine diner. I'd go there again any time.

This diner was the best part about our overnight stay in Shippensburg. We arrived around 930 on a Sunday morning. The diner was busy but not overly. Every single one of the workers greeted us or said hello in some fashion. The manager.. who said he was new.. I think he name was dave... was also incredibly nice. He was jumping in and helping out the waitress's and cooks however he could and was constantly giving them positive feedback. It was just a really positive and fun environment. On to the food.... I can kind of be a pain in the butt when ordering out.. example egg whites instead of eggs... no butter on my toast.. only grape jelly..etc. so sometimes, which, completely understandable, my order isn't always right. But nope not here. She listened to me once. I never had to repeat myself or clarify. When she brought us our food everything was right not a single thing was out of order. It's breakfast food I don't know how fancy you can get with it. We just got eggs and toast and a pancake but it was all really really good. They have a huge list of omelettes on their menu that also looked good. I saw a bunch of people get those. All in all just a wonderful visit.

The food was excellent and well priced! The atmosphere was pleasant and family oriented! Brandon's service was too notch and he did an excellent job helping to create a relaxing and overall awesome experience! Would recommend to anyone rolling down 81! ( it is small town local fresh food only a few extra miles off the beaten path- worth it!)

Yes, go here. Not expensive and the food is great. I had the chicken croquettes with potato soup, Cole slaw and lima.beans. typical diner fare but I can recommend all of it. My friend had the turkey dinner which was delicious and the stuffing was homemade.

This diner is no longer open 24 hours so when I went there I unfortunately was surprised and the address and all of the information says that they are open 24 hours they are not

Stopped one day for lunch my wife ordered chicken croquettes and myself I ordered the shrimp basket. It took almost 45 minutes to get our order on something that has about a 4 minute cook time. They were not busy at all, maybe 4-5 others tables. Stopped one other time food severely over cooked.

Open 24 hours, 7 days a week. Wait to be seated, and take notice of the 'specials' board by the entrance. Booth seating is comfy. The interior is very 'diner' like, including a lunch counter. The staff all seem very nice and competent. The menu is quite extensive. Breakfast all day is always a winner. Subs, sandwiches, burgers, entrees, kids menu plus a senior menu that includes an entree with salad and side. Very nice. Our waiter was a high school student and he very well trained in his job, friendly and funny. The chicken parm was very good. Crispy chicken, tasty garlic bread, big side salad. My spinach pie was mild with a nice yogurt, dill, Greek sauce on the side and a Greek salad. A very nice vegetarian meal. The restrooms are down a long hallway, one for each. However, when I entered the ladies, the toilet seat was 'up', not because it had been cleaned, and when I left, a gentleman entered. So clearly it's more of a 'gender neutral' bathroom for all situation. The restroom was clean. All together this was a good diner experience. Plenty of food choices and everything was tasty, hot and fresh. I'd return when we are next in town.
