Salute is at the top of my list when choosing where to go for dinner. The food and service are always exceptional. The pasta sauce is incredible and the martinis are wonderful - the shaker refill makes the drink last through dinner. Can't wait to go back!
it was a great experience! The owner came out to talk with us about the experience. The food was delicious and the presentation was excellent.! We will be back.
Came here for dinner on a visit to Wernersville. It was such a great experience, we came back with friends for lunch the next day! Every item we ordered was top notch and reminded us of the details of restaurants in Italy! The owner Giovanni and our server Eve were so friendly and engaging! They sent out a congratulations dessert for the occasion we were celebrating. We will come back to town just for this restaurant and a stay at the South Mountain Inn. What a lovely trip. Don’t forget to add one of their soups for just $3 to your meal. Our lobster bisque and mushroom soup were incredible.

Eve was amazing and the food was delicious!! Thankyou <3
Great food and attentive service. We could have made a whole dinner just from the appetizers!
You can tell the owner has high standards. It reflects in the food, service, and interactions. We had a table of 6 and all raved about their selection. Service was on par. Highly recommend. I was told he also owns the Dante's Pizza which is connected to Salute.

Me and friends were just here August 20th (2025) for a friends birthday. All of the food was good (very overpriced but expected) and 3 out of 4 of us got food poisoning of some sort. We all either woke up with insanely bad cramping, nausea, or were throwing up from this food. I got a scallop dish (without pasta), the mom got a chicken dish (without pasta can't remember the name) and birthday girl whom also got sick had a gravy pasta dish. Service was fine but our server was definitely in a rush & kind of pushy but still nice. Everything else wasn't bad!

My wife and I love it here. We are from Lebanon, and there are 3 restaurants we consistently visit in Berks County. Mom Chaffe's, Victor Emmanuel's, and Salute! Salute has its own unique atmosphere. If you want a classy atmosphere for a date night, go to Salute on a Friday or Saturday night. If you want a place where you can sit with your family and celebrate, go to Salute any day of the week. Every time we visit, the waitresses are ready to help and are not pushy. They give the right amount of interaction, and it's never when you have food in your mouth👍 The owner visits your table and asks how your visit was, and he asks because he cares. He shows that he is very appreciative of your visit.
We have been going here for the last 2 Christmas Eves and this year will be our 3rd! I can't wait to go back again!

1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 3 drinks, 1 dessert. $145 (pre tip). We are not reviewing cost, just illustrating a point. Food here was good not exceptional. Service, presentation and atmosphere excellent. However for the same price point or even slightly cheaper, Mom Chaffe, in West Reading is much more superior, on par with Italian food from Long Island or Brooklyn. We also thought it tacky to have a $2 up charge for olives in your Martini. I have been to dive bars to Michelin star rated restaurants all over the country and first time ever I paid an additional cost for olives in a Martini. Overall we enjoyed our meal but not because the sauce knocked us off our feet rather the time was nice. I am however in the minority, as this place was full. So it comes down to personal taste. Very good but certainly not “5 star” Italian food. It has been a long time since we were here (5+ years) unfortunately now I remember why.
Food, drinks and service was really good. Food was fresh and made to order. Will definitely go back.
Wow. The dessert tray alone is worth the trip in.
