Had a 7:45 reservation that we were told could be moved up to 7:15. Show up at 7:15 and were told nope — manager said now we could not be seated. No phone call, no text. Ordered wine and appetizers. Appetizers show up, no wine. Can’t flag down staff as apparently we had become invisible. Ordered coq au vin — so salty as to be almost inedible. Choked down one chicken thigh but that was all the sodium my system could bear. Plus there was some kind of salad slapped on top for no discernible reason. Love Skytop and will certainly be back (this was likely stay 25 at lead) but we will be skipping the Lakeview. 5th worst place to eat at Skytop after the Windsor, the Taproom, the Market ( the former Tea Room), and the Corner Roastery. 6th if Callaways happens to be open. Also it’s sports arena caliber noisy, though that depends on the crowd.

Got a Prejudice vibe. Trash food, rather eat bugs.

Went here for my grandmother's 80th birthday and it was phenomenal. The waitress was very sweet and the food was amazing, both the taste and the presentation. Highly recommend if you're visiting Skytop!!!!

One of the rare instances where on initial glance, the restaurant seems underwhelming. Located on the second floor above a golfing shop with bland exterior decor, initial thoughts were that this is not an upscale experience. I was delighted to be proven wrong. The interior design of the dining area is fantastic, with a beautiful view of the ravine below and golf hole in the distance. The staff was an absolute delight, and our waiter was great to chat with. We felt our dietary needs accommodated and presence appreciated. The maitre d’hotel checked in with us twice expertly, which is something I find rare in non-Michelin-esque restaurants. From a food perspective, I simply have no complaints — after numerous inadequate meals in other places throughout this trip, a well-crafted menu was a welcomed sight. We ordered a charcuterie board to start, which came with a wonderful spread (the quince jelly was immensely delicious). I had a special of NY strip and my wife had a lamb chop entree. Both were cooked perfectly and to their correct respective temperatures, alongside beautiful plating and delicious sides of mashed potatoes or couscous. Dessert was a blast too, as the chocolate chip bar tasted fantastic. Overall, if you’re staying near by, Lakeview is absolutely something to consider — with two drinks, we spent $180 before tip. Well worth.

Dietary restrictions: Required modifications to remove alliums, which they gladly accepted.

Staff was polite and knowledgeable. We made reservations as locals ("off-site" guests). Food and drinks were excellent. Live music added a really nice element to our experience. Highly recommend and absolutely plan to return!

Parking: Expect a short walk. There is a covered drop off at the door, but parking is short walk.

Wheelchair accessibility: Lakeview is located on the 2nd floor, there is an elevator.

The place is GORGEOUS. Decorated nicely for the holidays as well. The staff was great overall, with server Anthony was extremely nice and the management taking the time to talk to us about the renovations and experience there. The food was delicious. We had a mountain of calamari and the braised short ribs. Will absolutely book here the next time we stay at Skytop.

✨Review from a NYC Gal✨ I’m always honest about the quality of food! My mom and I enjoyed a lovely dinner at Lakeview after the restaurant was highly recommended by someone from the area. The food was a solid 4-stars. Well made and enjoyable - thoroughly enjoyed my pumpkin pasta. The views from the restaurant were beautiful. I highly recommend making a reservation during sunset!Knowing that there are not many high-quality restaurants in the area, this is one I would recommend! You also do not need to be staying at the lodge to dine. If we’re in the area again we will be back!

So much potential, but just a bit short of hitting the mark . Understaffed poor bar service. Felt bad for the poor wait staff. Too many tables too little servers.

I read so many poor reviews of this place but my experience was just delightful. Out of 9 of our meals only one person wasn’t satisfied claiming their penne alla vodka lacked flavor. I tried it and it did need some more vodka, red pepper, and probably oregano and basil. I had a halibut that was perfectly cooked and served in a creamy buttery sauce, really quite splendid. The service was also great with attentive and knowledgeable waitstaff. One person in our party had a dirty martini and while the drink was well made, the olives in there were absolutely disgusting. Sour, hard, and somehow also bitter. I don’t know what brand of olive they use but I had the same gross olive in another martini in the Library Lounge. You really need a better source because those olives ruined my drink.

There isn’t a bad option on the menu. Wish the duck was a little bigger since that’s what I ate. But the ny steak was huge so I had some of that. Loved the calamari a lot. Some random management stuff: We made a reservation for 10 for my birthday. Ended up changing it to 11 with no issues. It was pushed back a little and that was no issue. We showed up on time but it took them a long time to set up our table. Honestly, none of really matter because we still wanted to sit and take our time anyways. The food is great and our server was so so sweet. Definitely eat here for your special event.

Vegetarian options: A couple Vegetarian options.

Kid-friendliness: There is options for kids.

Parking: Parking is before The Inn. Limited spots but enough.
