When I first started attending Slippery Rock University, my parents would stop to eat here every time they came to finish because they loved the pizza. I haven't had a bad experience here and have always loved the food.

Excellent food with very reasonable prices. It is BYOB and $1 per person who drinks which is convenient!

Let me start with a positive. We have been eating at the Slippery Rock location since they opened. I was the very first review on Google and it was nothing but raves about the food, the prices, the professionalism of the staff. We have come to expect that service. Unfortunately tonight was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a very long time. The restaurant was about half full when we were seated so we expected a wait for our dinners. We took a bottle of wine and were asked if we wanted glasses. When she brought the glasses I told her we didn't need 4, that only the girls were drinking. She promptly said that's ok, I'll leave them anyway. Guess what? We got charged $4 for the glasses. I don't mind paying the $1 glass fee, I do mind paying for something I clearly stated we didn't want. After ordering 2 Lasagna dinner's we waited 45 minutes only to have cold (like refrigerator cold in the middle) food. We had the lasagna sent back and 15-20 minutes later it came out boiling, I am not exaggerating, the sauce was actually boiling. The lasagna had now been over cooked so much it was not the awesome dish I'm used to receiving. It was so hot we couldn't eat it for at least 15 minutes. Once done eating and trying to enjoy wine and conversation with friends we sat for over 1/2 hour with ALL the dinner & appetizer plates, empty bread baskets on the booth. All this while our waitress hung out behind the hostess stand doing nothing. She purposely ignored our table until I finally made eye contact and asked if she could please take the plates so we could enjoy our drinks. With the roll of her eyes she took two of the 4 dinner plates and NEVER came back to get the guys plates. Then the topping on the cake, I ordered a bowl of wedding soup to go, only to come home and discover I paid $2.99 for a cup of broth with 2 meatballs. I really hope this isn't the direction that one of our favorite restaurants in Slippery Rock is taking.

We placed an order for take out... Ricotta balls... Chick Florentine... Spaghetti and Meatballs and a Stromboli. Everything was delicious!

The food was excellent and a great waitress. Price is affordable and portions large. Eggplant parmigiana was yummy. Good choice.

Nico's is a nice little restaurant for the area. You walk in and almost never have to wait for a table. The prices are reasonable, and the service is pretty good. My only complaint is the lack of lighting throughout the restaurant. If you are looking for reccomendations, I would personally reccomend the buffalo raviolis and the fries as far as appetizers go. On the topic of meals, I reccomend the eggplant parmesan or their pizza. All in all, awesome little place.

Comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food. I had the calzone and it was full of meats and cheese. Very reasonable prices.
