Mel's Restaurant & Lounge

We drove 30 minutes to try this place out for the food. We walked in and got blasted by cigarettes smoke. We have asthma so that wouldn't work. Should be posted on the page that they allow smoking inside..

This place is a bar. Maybe even a “dive bar”. Most of the seats were at the bar. It smelled of smoke. BUT. The service was very quick and friendly. The pierogies were really good, served with paper plates. You could choose the wing sauce of your choice for them. We did beer cheese and bacon bits and it was really good. I had a burger and fries and they were both really good and the burger was huge. My husband had BLT and chips and enjoyed it. And the price was extremely reasonable. It was definitely a place that gave off a local bar vibe, but I am sure glad we went in.

This is a bar first and foremost that happens to serve good food and drinks.

It should say in the description, it is a 21+ restaurant. Me, my wife, and daughter walked in and was immediately kicked cause my daughter is younger

Not a huge bar person, however I wanted to see the place after the renovation, wings are good, full wings , crisp but tender, however the sauce itself was way over portioned, I wanted wings not a half bottle of sauce. , the bar itself looks nice , however the bartender on Monday afternoon appeared to have a chip on his shoulder and that vibe alone just made me not want to come back , regardless of how good the food is impressions matter and his just was a complete turnoff. Id probably order food to go but i doubt I’ll return as a dine in person.

Just stopped in for breakfast with friends. Best breakfast I've had in a long time. I highly recommend the sausage gravy and biscuits.

we ordered food from my job, and the women i spoke to needs to learn customer service. We had a rather large order ,amount of money, and it was like she didnt want to be bothered by our take out order. Because she so busy according to her. The food was pretty good, the pricing could be better, and the customer service was horrible,even when my colleague picked up the order she was very unfriendly. So i would not recommend.

Went for lunch and the food was top notch. They have the best fresh cut fries! Chicken bacon ranch was one of the best. Waitress was very friendly. Service was excellent!! We will be back

The best wings in town also their French Fries fresh cut are awesome. Next going to try chicken sandwich. Mel's is my choice for eating out in Somerset. Great job guys.
