The wait time was HORRIBLE. We waited over an hour for our food. Overcharged EVERYTHING. Refills were not free which should have been. The food was so greasy that I got sick. Never will I go here again. DO NOT RECCOMEND.

Place has been slowly going downhill with food service and how long it takes for you to get the food brought to you even when slow. Not much to leave negative reviews, but 2nd time my tip amount got changed on a charge tip. I tipped 9$ on a slow day being generous just to see a 10 mark up on my bank statement.

We always enjoyed coming to this place. However our experience Saturday night was very much different. First they seat us at the smallest round table there was in the back which was more suitable for someone having a drink not a meal and there was clearly available tables but waitress stated they had to keep them available for more than 2 people. Well they started seating couples at those tables after us. Waitress brings our drinks and we order. Sat watching QVC on the TV not a sports channel the entire time even after asking to change it to a sports channel. So we wait an hour for our food. They bring it out completely cold. We mention to them and they take it back. We wait another 20 minutes to bring it out and literally had half thrown on the sandwich and other half just laying in the basket. Just couldn't wait to leave because we were clearly being ignored. We get the bill and are told they knocked $3 off our bill for our long wait. ?

Wife's bourbon chicken was just ok, not very good, the kid had philly cheese steak with peppers and onions , said there wasn't much steak at all!, just veggies, not much taste, I had the black n blu burger, it was very good, and appetizer fried pickles were good, soooo, 2 out of 4, total bill with tip $68.00, , so 3 stars only

It's hit or miss here sometimes. Some days it's really good and couldn't be better. Others are not so great. The food is always pretty decent, but sometimes they either take really long or don't get your order 100%. Will I continue to eat here? Yes, because it's about the only full service sports bar that doesn't make you feel out of place in the area.

We just left Tailgatez -
We had friends waiting at the bar who reserved a table well over an hour ago for our party of 12.
We finally got our table after well over an hour wait.
At the time we were seated, our waitress did want to inform us that the kitchen was 1-1.5 hours behind. We said we had no problem with that. We were planning to enjoy our visit with friends and family and we were fine with the wait.
Less than 5 minutes later we were informed that the kitchen was closing at the order of the owner - Jeff Latuch.
We spoke with our waitress and the on duty manager (both of whom were very polite and apologetic) and said their hands were tied.
We will never be back!
I understand being so busy that you need to close your doors and not accept any other customers through your doors.
It is just absolutely unacceptable to tell a party of 12 that waiting patiently for over an hour for a table that now because of an order from the owner ( who was not even physically present!) you will not be serving them or the rest of the people that were just seated!
Poor poor poor customer service!
Never again Tailgatez, never again!

My husband and I went out for dinner Thursday night for our anniversary.
We went to a place we had never been before.
The Gray Goose in Ligonier.
Fantastic!! Great food, great service, great atmosphere!
If you like a more bar type atmosphere-
Try out The Wicked Googly also in Ligonier.
And they have a bowling alley that’s always fun!
If you want some place closer to Somerset- don’t be afraid to try the Fat Squirrel or Flyin Lion in Jennerstown. Great food at both places!
And if you really don’t want to explore beyond Somerset - please try the Pine Grill! Always a good choice.
I’ve had not so great service and not so great food at Tailgatez in the past and because of limited choices to go in Somerset have always gone back and given them another chance.
