My Family And I Had A Terrible Experience Food Was Not Great At All, Daughter Threw Up Almost Immediately, We All Got Sick Leaving This Place. All Had To Get Gingerale Sodas To Coat Our Stomach When We All Got Home. First Time There For All Of Us And It Was A Disaster. Never Again…

Food was disgusting. Who makes dan dan noodles with pasta??? The noodles cant even soak up the sauce. The xiaolongbao was also not edible. The skin was soooo thick and barely cooked. Everything was flavorless. My expectation wasn't high to start with but didnt expect to be this disappointed. If you want real chinese food, please don't come here.

I've lived in the area for a long time and wish I knew about this place sooner! The food is so fresh - fresh, high quality vegetables cooked to serious perfection. It seems like the noodles are all homemade. Nothing felt greasy. The general tso sauce seemed very homemade too. The service was lovely; letting us take our time and not rushing us out like some of the restaurants in the borough. The atmosphere is inviting and super clean (no cleaning supplies visible in the bathroom. Huge plus in my book). My family and I will be back and can't wait to try everything on the menu.

Nice menu. Great food. Reasonable lunch special list of about 8 choices at $8 +. Not sure I would call it a typical Chinese food restaurant and I mean that in a good way. I felt the food had a bit of Japanese influence or should I say a multi-asian cuisine influence. Spicy chicken was amazing. Szechuan tofu was different than I've experienced elsewhere; but the flavor was there with an American spice level of about 3. I sampled the scallion pancake and it didn't disappoint. Loved it! The dipping sauce it came with was a winner. I will return here to sample more menu items.

This is my Chinese comfort food goto in the Swarthmore Media area. I stop by every time for a great family meal of well prepared fresh cooked Chinese dishes. I've never been disappointed.

Did take out but it was the best hot and sour soup I’ve ever had and the pork dumplings were delicious.

Noodles were extremely soggy and wet, tasted like microwaved food quality. Overpriced menu for its quality.

Went for the first time and ordered kimchi noodle, scallion pancake, and dumplings. The dumplings were pretty good. I could not taste any kimchi in the noodle dish. That was super-disappointing. Will make my own. Unfortunately, the scallion pancake was pre-made, frozen and doughy, with virtually no vegetables inside of it. Awful. They should take it off the menu. Do not recommend.

I had a disappointing experience. There were only 3 families, including me, on a Sunday evening (7 pm). They brought my food and never returned -- I had to motion for her. I didn't have high expectations because many dishes are under $10, but I was still disappointed. I ordered Dan Dan noodles and Roti Canai. The roti came out first and the roti itself was extremely oily, to the point that there was oil on the plate. It wasn't flaky; it was rather flat and saturated with oil, to the point that I had to squeeze it between my napkin to release some of the oil. The dipping sauce was very good. The Dan Dan noodles came with very little minced pork. It came out so hot that it was clear it had been microwaved. It was steaming. There was a huge mound of what tasted like store bought, boxed linguine tossed in a spicy sauce with pickled radish and a small portion of minced pork on top. I told the server that there was very little meat in relation to the portion of noodles. Her response was to say it was a starter dish and that if I wanted more meat she could bring me a side for an extra $2.00. I declined and told her to consider it as feedback: As a starter dish, don't serve a full mound of noodles and a tiny amount of minced pork. Instead, aim to make the amount of noodles proportional to the amount of meat so that when customers take a bite they have both. As it was, I had a piece or two of meat to a mouthful of all noodles. She shrugged and walked off, so I asked for a to go box and my check.

The food has a very basic taste. It's not terrible, but it's also not good either. Decent is the right word. It tastes like something my teenage kids put together with groceries I brought from Acme. Admittedly, I usually go to Nan Zhou Hand Drawn Noodle House, which is a similar price point and they make their noodles in house. I wasn't expecting homemade noodles but I also wasn't expecting store bought either. I didn't feel like making the 25 minute drive to Nan Zhou and I want badly to find a solid noodle restaurant closer to my home so I tried Noodle 88. It's unlikely I'll return.
