8 Mile Pizza is awesome. Simple as that. Detroit style is amazing and this place nails it. Every time I get pizza from 8 Mile, I get frustrated at myself for not getting it more often.
Go there as fast as you can. Split a “small” hot pepperoni with the misses. WOW. As good as the hype. Crispy edges and well structured dough. Textbook. Absolutely textbook Detroit-style.

Amazing pizza. I ordered the Honey Hot Pepperoni Pie and it is so good. I don’t think I’ve ever had Detroit style pizza before trying this spot. Since going here, I haven’t had any other pizza and I’ve gone back 4 times. Not cheap with the pepperoni on any slices and the ricotta cheese sitting atop each slice is a nice touch. Decent location too, just before Beaver Ave so you don’t have to deal with the mayhem of being in the heart of downtown. Definitely give them a shot.

Back in the spring I did a challenge where I got 1 slice of cheese pizza from every pizza place in walking distance for students. I've never heard of 8 Mile Pizza before, but decided to give it a shot. Inside, I was welcomed by the nicest owner who, when I arrived with a pile of pizza in my hands, told me that their place was going to win. He was absolutely right.
Out of all pizza places in State College, 8 Mile Pizza has the best pizza around. While I had to get a "plain" pie so I could compare to the others, I am dying to try the three sauce pizza when I get back to school.
8 Mile, you rock.
