I got a regular cheesesteak with sweet peppers and funnel cake fries. The cheesesteak was decent but the peppers were not cooked into the sandwich. They give them to you separately, which I could understand if the sandwiches were cheap but they are pretty expensive. I can’t lie, the funnel cake fries tasted like deep fried cardboard and they had melted styrofoam on them.
I was not a fan of the customer service as I had a bad experience with the Joe, who I believe is the owner. I waited a very long time for my food (~35-45 minutes). I saw my food sitting on the counter for a while with many others’ orders getting called before mine even though they ordered after me. When I finally got it, I made a comment to the guy about it sitting there for a while. He said nothing so I walked away. Joe overheard and asked me to come back. I told him what happened in a respectful way and his response was, “Well, we’re not Amazon sweetheart.” I’m more upset about that comment than the food waiting there. Why even call me back to come talk to you?
I’m very surprised this place has 4.9 stars as of this review. Maybe I went on a bad day, but I was not pleased with my experience. If you want good service, I’d recommended going somewhere else.
Edit: After seeing the owner’s response, I’m reducing this review to one star. His reply included blatant lies about my behavior. I did not impatiently stand in front of the counter holding up other customers. I stood off to the side waiting quietly for my number to be called. He also claimed the delay was due to a THON fundraiser, which was never mentioned by anyone that day. As someone who has been involved in THON, I fully recognize the value of that organization, but it was not relevant here and was not communicated to me at the time. Maybe this interaction was with another customer. Otherwise, he completely misrepresented what happened. P.S. my reviews are a well balanced mix of positive and negative so not sure as to what he is referring to.

Best cheese steak on campus hands down. Seeded roll, great steak, cooper sharp cheese (if preferred) and great onions. Since the new ownership they really upped their game. I’m from Philly and have had them all. If you want a real “Philly” cheesesteak, this is the place to go.

I ordered a provolone steak on Liscios roll. Owners and staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The service was impeccable and the sandwich was excellent. The Cheese to steak consistency was spot on.
