Carvers Deli & Barbecue

Excellent eatery located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. The place is clean. Menu is extensive and has a Penn State/Big 10 theme about it as it relates to many of the food items. Ordering is similar to fast food chains. Order at the counter, go find a table and your order will be brought to you. We got there around noon on a Tuesday. There was still seating available. We found the staff to be pleasant, the sandwiches - Gopher for my wife, Italian with baked beans for me - brought to us in a timely manner and the food to be delicious. Looking for a great tasting sandwich? You Won't Go Wrong Here.

Excellent sandwich on the freshest of breads! Perfect ratios of meat, veggies, and condiments. And the side of macaroni & cheese was piping hot. Delicious meal and great service!

Stopped by based on Google rating while traveling through the State College area. Simple bbq sandwich kind of place with many, many different sandwich ideas for your selection.Fast, warm, and tasty! Glad we stopped!

Some of the best sandwiches in state college. Also the Mac and cheese is to die for. Go you won’t regret it

Consistently incredible food and amazing people. I eat here almost every other day for lunch and never had a bad meal, always greeted with a warm greeting and a smile. One of my favorite places in State College, you won't regret ordering from here!!

Food is ALWAYS a hit. The one counter lady usually seems perturbed but the food she delivers is amazing. Totally redeeming lol

Ridiculously good sandwiches. Some of my friends recommended Carver’s to me a while ago, finally just tried it for the first time yesterday and had to go back again today for another one.

I had forgotten about Carver's amid the foolishness of 2020. My husband remembered and we stopped Friday late afternoon.What a treat! The restaurant was spotless! Staff was welcoming and VERY helpful. We opted for a chicken, full rack of ribs and brisket. Fabulous choice! The ribs were tender yet held together enough to not need silverware. The brisket was so tender it was amazing. Chicken was perfectly done with a lovely smokey flavor.Compared to other BBQ in the area, it is the best. Prices are in line with other restaurants.Next time we will add sides to our order - can't wait to try the coleslaw.Great food, good prices, convenient location - Carver's is back in our regular line-up!

Their pulled pork sandwich is excellent! Their reuben sandwiches are also excellent.Smiling service.
