The bouncer with the neck beard took every ounce of atmosphere out of state college's best watering hole.

Too noisy. If you go with your friends, you cannot hear well due to loud music. If you go to make new friends, you cannot because of loud music. If you want to make a single conversation, you need to yell.
From 7 PM, their basement bar is open where there are around six pool tables and some games. Pool: $1 per game. Air hockey $1 per game (but not well working. Air is weak so the ball moves not smoothly. One side of score board is not shown).
Their chicken fingers are not bad.
You need to find street parking.

First time at the downtown location. It did not disappoint. Service was great and the Guinness was delicious along with the food.

Great selection of cocktails and ales. Super friendly and hilarious bartenders, and really fast service. I also love the cozy, laid-back environment. Would highly recommend.
I've been at Champs probably close to 100 times over the course of my life. Plenty of Friday and Saturday nights spent there in college, and I go back a decent bit as an alum too.
Last night, we got a table and ordered food. However, AFTER we already ordered food and before we even got it, our waitress informed us that we would have to leave the table in 20 minutes as it was reserved for a VIP at 9.
We hadn't even got our food yet! They rushed our food, got it to us in 5 minutes, and it clearly showed. The cheese in the mozzarella sticks was powdery. We had 15 minutes to eat before we were kicked out.
Luckily, I was able to talk to another table that was getting ready to leave and they let us slide in when they left. We then had to carry all our food and drinks over to the new table while the bar was getting increasingly packed.
Just terrible mismanagement on Champs fault. If you know that someone has paid to reserve a table, rope that off WAY in advance. Don't make a group of paying customers rush to eat their food/carry all their food over to another table.
Champs was considered my favorite bar before this. It seems like its going down hill.

Sit down vibe sports bar. Service was very slow, not sure if server was having a bad day. Good for going and casually watching the game.

Excellent experience. I've been a few times and they never make wings crispy enough even when requested, however this time they did and they were perfect.

They didn't let me enter with my ID from my country, the guy at the entrance told me that if I didn't have an American ID I couldn't enter, if this isn't racism, I don't know what is.
They didn't let me enter because I am Latina, and I don't have an ID from this country, if this isn't exclusion I don't know what it is!
Stopped in for a drink while attending a conference at the Penn Stater. Really nice staff, cool vibe.
