They USED to have the best vegan cupcakes around. Then they switch all their vegan cupcakes to their gluten free recipe, which is disgusting. Horrible. My son can only eat vegan cupcakes due to allergies, but he does not need to avoid gluten. We used to get their vegan cupcakes for him as a special treat. The first time he tried the new gluten free recipe, he spit it out because he thought it had gone bad. I tried one and they weren't spoiled, they just tasted terrible. They are WAY too expensive for a cupcake that doesn't taste good. Sadly, we won't be back.

One of the best cake shops in State college. Good variety of cupcakes which includes choices of Gluten free.They do get busy so it's better to order cakes 3 days to a week in advance.Service is friendly.My favorites are Chocolate cake and Tiramisu.

Whoever is in charge at Dolce Vita needs to know about an excellent employee there. The gentleman who works there named 'Anthony' is wonderful at good customer service. In regards to my dilemma with an order I placed online, he went out of his way to help resolve it for me, which was truly appreciated. He was kind on the phone, patient, understanding, and promised to call me back after he was going to see what he could do to help. He followed through with his promise to promptly call me back, and he ended up working out a solution for me. Thank you so much Anthony!
We found this hidden gem in State College because of Yelp! The cupcakes were amazing, the service was very quick and attentive, and the ambience was perfect. We felt like we were sitting in a cafe with the smell of delicious cupcakes and coffee brewing! The aromas were a sensory overload in the most wonderful way, and were heightened once we took the first bite of the cupcakes! This will now be a continuous stop for us. Please don't let the thought of an upscale bakery intimidate you....the prices were beyond reasonable!!! I wish we had one closer to home!!
