Fantastic meal and service. The low country boil had fantastic shrimp, mussels, and corn. The meal was piping hot. Our she crab soup was delicious with a hint of spice. Cocktails were great. The passion fruit spritzer was delicious. Try a grasshopper ( cocktail ) for Dessert.

The gumbo and low country boil was absolutely fantastic. George as our server could not have been better. I took my son and nephew here on a visit to PSU, we will be coming here every time we come again!

This restaurant several times. They've never let us down. Great menu and great atmosphere.

Everything great... food, service and cost, EXCEPT the music was very loud and the choice of music was more appropriate for a late night party than a relaxing dinner.

Ambiance was great, so was service which was prompt. Shrimp & grits was ok. The shrimp didn't have much flavor. It would have been better if slow cooked at low temperature. My wife has the French onion soup which was just passable. One of my sons had the fried chicken which again was just ok. Now for what was good- pulled pork sandwich and steak. Both on point as per my kids. I tasted a bit of the steak. I agree, it was good.

Gigi's is always reliable for a very good dining experience. The food and cocktails are tasty and the friendly and competent servers are always ready to make your meal out an enjoyable one. The fried green tomato bruschetta is a must to start the meal.

This was not a busy day at Gigi‘s. We barely saw any other diners while sitting at our table. But the length of time to get our food and the inattentive service was disappointing. It started out OK as the waitress took our orders. But then it took a half hour just to get our appetizers. They were delicious, but we didn't understand why it would be so long considering the restaurant wasn't busy at all. Then it was almost another half hour before getting our main meals. By that time, we had to ask for to-go boxes, because we had another engagement planned. We didn't anticipate it would take so long to get the food. I'm all for a restaurant that doesn't make you feel rushed, but this was beyond that. Our waitress never stopped by to ask how any of the food was. In fact, after waiting for her to come by to check on us after we got our main meals, we finally had to get up and walk to the reception desk to ask to pay the bill. While we did that, our waitress walked up to the desk but never said anything to us as we paid. It was just awkward. Not what I expected from a restaurant that gets great reviews overall. Another unfortunate thing, my daughter ordered Caesar salad with chicken on top. She could barely eat the salad, though, because it was covered in anchovy dressing. Why is this listed as a Caesar salad on the menu? Caesar dressing is what makes it a Caesar salad. She didn't notice the anchovy dressing on the menu when ordering. Sadly, the lettuce covered in the dressing was inedible. She was able to eat the chicken because it was on top. If our waitress had stopped by to ask how everything was, we probably would've said something. But we were never given an opportunity. And when we went to the desk to pay, it felt too late to say anything. I'm never one to tip low, and this was no exception. My daughter asked as we walked to the car, why did you give such a good tip? I'd have to agree, I don't think it was deserved. It's unlikely we'll go back to Gigi's.

This is our favorite place to eat in State College. Great atmosphere, good quality food, but not pretentious. It's our go to for a nice night out.

Food is always great. Last time though the service was below par, slow, and no one to be found when needed. Soup came cold had to be reheated. Still the food tasted great.

Our first visit! Absolutely wonderful and hope to go back again soon. From the cocktails, to the appetizers, and our lunch — cuisine & service was exceptional!

Only downside was the menu is so big- took a few extra minute to decide. Food was excellent and fresh.

The restaurant is nice and the service was good. They had several good beers, but not an extensive list. The mac & cheese I got was OK. Less cheesy than I like, but it was fine.

Went for birthday brunch on a football weekend. Reservations were easy to navigate and get. Service was friendly and nice, helpful. Great french fries and my teens devoured the pulled pork sandwich, chicken and waffles. Liked the savory strudel but it was really in the puff pastry rather than under it. And I expected more from my bananas foster French toast. It seemed like regular French toast w 1-2 banana slices on each slice, but dry. Only a little better w extra syrup. Maybe it was then end of brunch at 12:30 and they were out of eggs? I'll try again, because the potential was there. Ambience and staff were cool at least! It was weird, when we walked in past other tables everyone seemed to have full colorful plates. Ours, not so much.

Great restaurant and service was excellent. We had 11am reservations for brunch. Understand that this was their 1st Sunday Brunch and a brand new menu and several opening challenges. Overall, food “tasted” great although the items that were supposed to be hot, were not and were instead cold/lukewarm (asked for one item to be heated up and another lukewarm replacement was delivered), and it took a long time (around 40-min) to receive our food after ordering. I would dine here again due to the service, anbiance, and taste of the food.

This was my 3rd dinner at Gigi's and every experience has been just ok. Nothing special. There were 5 of us last night- 1 BBQ sandwich, 2 burgers, 1 cobb salad and 1 Caesar salad. The Caesar was bland with mostly lettuce cores. Our server disappeared and we had to ask the hostess to track her down so we could get our check. Overall, not a great experience after multiple attempts.
