This is not the same green bowl as it used to be where you made your meal and they cooked it for you. The menu is limited and the place is not clean. The atmosphere looks like a closing down restaurant and the service was not good. Our server was too focused on eating her meal next to us that we had to interrupt her for any service. It is not clean and it was so hot in there no one really wanted to eat hot noodles. The beef In the meal was not edible. We should have left when we saw it wasn’t the same green bowl.

The noodles is handmade everyday and in the best of conditions, every time I enter I just had to grab a bite. What I love favorite is the beef over rice. But also their rice noodles!! Recommend!

My partner and I come here regularly as she is a student at Penn State and I work in the area. This is the best-quality food we have found in State College. Noodles are made in-house. Staff is welcoming every time we go in. I always leave feeling full. Great place to eat and good value for what we're paying.

It may not look like much, but the food is absolutely spectacular. I ordered the pork sweet potato noodles in hot and sour broth and it was perfect. The noodles have just the right amount of chewiness and the broth is good enough to drink. I wish I lived closer, so I could try more of their options!
This is a great place to relax and eat without being bothered. Green Bowl is a no bs place you show up and get what you ask for. Service is good and direct, and the people are very nice. They serve authentic Chinese food and the spices go hard, be careful when ordering spicy if you can’t handle it. My boy Benny Wen Chen (authentic Chinese man) says green bowl is great, and he doesn’t say that very often. (Btw their home made chili oil is FIRE 🔥 and they sell them in little mason jars for $5 it’s gas)

I think this place deserves a higher rating than what it currently has. Took my wife and some friends visiting for their 1st time. Everyone really enjoyed it and I think it's better than other noodle shops in the area with higher rankings.
My only complaint is that service was slow for the amount of people there, but there seemed to only be 2 servers so it's kind of understandable.

Today I decided to eat here. The service was pleasant, which I loved. This was what I ordered. The broth was hot and had a super rich and balanced flavor. The meat was super tender and delicious. I loved it because I saw it on their menu. I ordered it with lots of green onions. Too delicious. I definitely want to go back. The place is quiet and perfect.
