We drove for 5 hours from Long Island, New York, to send our children to Penn State for school, and accidentally discovered this great northwest restaurant. During the ordering process, we learned that the operator is from Xi'an. After tasting it, we were indeed familiar with it. The taste of Xi'an makes me feel like I have returned to my hometown in Xi'an, and I immediately feel like going home. This restaurant is clean, hygienic, and tastes unique, authentic Xi'an taste; moreover, the ingredients used in the restaurant are also particular, such as spicy oil, old vinegar... absolutely authentic; the boss said: "I am from Xi'an" with an authentic Xi'an accent. By the way, to popularize science, Xi'an was called Chang'an in ancient times. Thirteen dynasties established their capitals here. It was once the political and commercial center of China, and the starting point of the Silk Road was here.

My husband went to PSU for a work trip and I found this place on the maps. ( I lived in Xi’an for 5 years and I love Shannxi food. )My husband went here, ordered food for me, and asked if they could pack the soup and noodles separately, the bun and the meat separately, because he had to drive 7 hours to bring it home to me. The owner’s service was above and beyond, he packed everything perfectly and everything tasted great when they got here, he even gave instructions on how to heat them up too. The portion was big, the flavor was authentic and great, and mostly it brought back memories from my college years. And so much meat for each肉夹馍 we got? Will definitely go there next time in person if possible. Great place!

This restaurant has been a big part of our family state college trips for many years, always providing amazing food and service!
Even though the restaurant has changed from an all you can eat style to a menu which had been a surprise at the time - turned out to be a major improvement ! The staff are all very friendly and professional - and the noodles are made FRESH ? DO Not sleep on this one

If you want some incredible Chinese noodle soups GO HERE. The Hot and Spicy Beef noodle soup with the sweet potato noodles was the best noodle soup I have had in years— perfectly stretchy noodles, tender beef, incredible layers of flavor and oil, and SPIIICY. If you like spice GET THIS SOUP. The waiter even warned me, but I knew what I was in for and it delivered. The Chinese hamburger was good— better after I added more black vinegar and spice paste. But the soup was the star of the show. A very simple and clean ambience, nothing fancy and no liquor or beer, but a mix of families and college students were all there to share a hearty dinner. Waitstaff was very attentive. I’m sad I didn’t get a chance to get this soup again during my recent visit, but will be rearing to go the next time I visit state college.
