Menu didn’t state that dessert dish had nuts, salad had a big in it and the pizza was delivered with the cheese all melted off.

The pizza we got was amazing! As well as the wings. There were only 2 people working, but you'd never know it from the amazing service with a smile you got from the girls. Will definitely be back!

Might wanna order early because they close their kitchen before they even lock their doors! Why even answer the phone if you’re not taking anymore orders?Was very let down by the service… the pizza i door dashed earlier smelled amazing!

The owner even came out and brought a pizza out , now I'm more of a Chicago style pizza fan but I must say that this pizza was absolutely delicious and I would definitely recommend it to anybody it was a great pie w great service

Kid-friendliness: I took 2 children w me age 7 and they were just fine there

Cool place downtown that isn't packed. Good beer on tap as it shares a bar with the place next door with over 40 beers on tap. Pizza is decent as well.

Food was mediocore and digital ordering was frustrating and tough to make work. The digital ordering led to mis orders and issues and staff tried to compensate but hard when handcuffed by owners poor choices to use apps

2nd time at this location. Atmosphere is great. Pizza is very good. Lots of option to choose from. Would recommend to anyone.

Cool place, and I wanted to like it, but I just can't recommend it.The vibe is cool with two large bars and a bit of music from a duo this Saturday. We rolled in at just after 4 pm. About 45 minutes ahead of the Springsteen concert traffic.We sat in a back section. There were 4 other guests seated there.Within 25 minutes, all tables in the section were full. They'd also all been served.I spoke to the hostess, who walked back to "take care of" us. My wife had flagged down a server and ordered drinks.My wife drink came out. Then, our appetizers came out. 15 minutes no drink. I saw the server and said, "That coke I ordered when you came back there, I still haven't gotten it.""I know," she said. "I am SO sorry."Ten minutes later, I get a coke, and twenty minutes later, I get this sorry, greasy pizza that falls apart like soggy toilet paper if you pick it up.If you eat here after reading this review, it's on you.

I worked at Hiway Pizza in the 60's and early 70's while I was in college. I thought it was the best pizza then. I have been trying to find a comparable pizza since. Believe me. This is still the best pizza in the USA. I loved the new shop. I hope I get a chance to go there again. Until then, I will have to settle for substandard West coast pizza until then. My complements.

No wonder this place was empty when we walked in. As usual, the waitress had to check our IDs as we were ordering drinks, and when one of our IDs was not properly scanning with an IPAD the owner came out to assess and was extremely rude. He threatened that he had “called the police”, even though they never showed, but still refused to give the ID back. It was a real Maryland ID (horizontal) and we were unsure why it wasn’t working in the first place. He made my friend fill out a “declaration of age”, and jump through several hoops before getting her ID back and was beyond rude and very aggressive. He questioned us as to why we didn’t want to stay after as if he didn’t just ruin all of our nights with this 45 minute fiasco. I feel sorry for the waitresses who work under him because he’s truly unpleasant. I will never return.

Workers are very kind and I got good service which is why I give two stars. First, my water glass and glass given with a beer were dusty/dirty. The pizza was good but nothing special. I got a vanilla cream soda that tasted like watery milk over ice. And lastly I got the Oreo cheesecake which tasted old. I was pretty disappointed after spending $60 there. The environment is cool and they have alcohol so I’d go there for drinks and that’s really it.

I really enjoy the food here. The vodka flaky pizza is very good. However, the management is so incredibly rude. The woman working the pizza oven is constantly yelling and tearing down her employees. I feel bad that the employees have to deal with such a rude and disrespectful owner/manger. I would love to return but will not because it is very uncomfortable to have dinner with yelling in the background. I hope that Hiway Pizza can get their owner/management together so that I can experience the vodka flaky pizza again.

Awful----------------thick bread and watery sauce. the worst pizza since I first went there in 1968 and it has remained constant.

Used to work here, Jen never washes her hands and she harasses her employees. I don't know how they pass health inspections.

Pizza is good, service is not. The host, who also happened to be our server, got an attitude with us when asking if we could sit outside - when there were already others sitting out there. We ordered via the website, got our drinks & food pretty quickly. The server's trainee apparently made a mistake in bringing out the wrong size pizza & a calzone with the wrong fillings, we didn't notice the pizza mistake & started eating it. Server proceeded (a good while later) to come back over to acknowledge that they brought out the wrong calzone & would bring us the correct one as we hadn't started eating it yet. She tried to blame all of the mistakes made on the trainee, but isn't it your job to actually train & oversee the trainee? She also said the pizza was actually a slightly bigger size than what we ordered, but since we had already started eating it, she had to charge us for the more expensive size. Never have I ever heard of a customer having to pay for the server's mistake, a mistake she admitted to, tried to blame on someone else & WAITED to correct. There are way too many other solid pizza joints in State College to go back here for this kind of service.
