Good food but incredibly slow service if they are marginally busy. Two bagels with cream cheese took 45 minutes.

Great place, way better than Panera or chain stores! I did the breakfast special, everything bagel with sausage cheese egg and tomato with a drip coffee. Phenomenal!!! Also really quick service and very friendly.

I got the Baja Chicken Club on their cheddar jalapeno bagel, with a hot coffee. Probably the hottest coffee I've ever had - and it refuses to cool LOL. But it's a very solid cup of coffee.
The bagel, surprisingly, lacked flavor. I'm not sure if it's because it was used for a sandwich, but it was a little disappointing for cheddar jalapeno. Overall, not a bad lunch. It just wasn't my favorite, and I wouldn't go out of my way to return.

They don't ask if you want your bagel toasted and their default is not to toast. So disappointing to walk away with a to-go order bagel and find that the bagel is not toasted. Weird, in my opinion. Why is the default not to toast?

One of my favorite breakfast spots in State College. The only issue with Irving's is the inconsistency--some days the food is excellent, other days it seems a bit off. Nevertheless, it's a State College staple and worthy of a visit.

Admittedly it has been 20+ years since I frequented Irving's as a grad student. But, something is not the same. Don't love the current location, no atmosphere of friendliness like I remember. The staff are great, and the bagels and coffee are just as good. Hopefully my son will like it when he starts in the fall.

I try to visit Irving's on each visit to State College, as the bagels are among the best I've ever had, and I often order some extra to take home as well. The Turkey bagel is my favorite sandwich -- real turkey, not lunch meat! Highly recommend!

Anytime I eat here I have a breakfast sandwich and they are reliably tasty. However, I always order online, and often times I find my order is being completed well before my pickup time, like 10-15 minutes before, and as result my food is not warm by the time I pick it up.

I would understand this occurring during the busy morning hours, but this has happened numerous times at both slow and busy hours.

I personally dislike eating cold food meant to be warm, and this has deterred me from ordering or only doing so when I can arrive 10-15 minutes early of my pickup time.

I recommend this place for its food, but if you plan to order online and don’t like eating cold food like me, I would take this into account .
