What a pleasant surprise. We were driving through State College and decided to stop at this restaurant. We were thrilled with the entrées, including the salmon and the risotto. The restaurant is a bit hard to find because it's incorporated into the Hilton hotel, and they won't allow the restaurant to have their own sign. Just follow the GPS and pull into the parking lot and you will be there. Don't pass this up.
Good Italian food in a relaxing atmosphere. Enjoyed the Mushroom Risotto and the onion soup.
Diverse enough menu but not overwhelming. This property is at the Hilton Garden Inn.
THE best spaghetti and meatballs in the world. Try Nonna's Spaghetti, you will not regret it!
(Another positive is that they no longer use plastic containers - now, it will arrive in compostable cardboard packaging with a lid for delivery orders - this image is old!)
Food was great. Waitress was wonderful. Atmosphere was a 3. They are remodeling but it is still the lobby of the hotel.
Food was excellent! While menu selections may be somewhat limited, they make up for it with quality. My only complaint would be that our initial drinks were slow in coming, but they were well made.
We ate here on a Saturday night, and as we walked into the Hilton Garden Inn, the lobby area was being refurbished, which I think is normally where the restaurant is located?
Instead, we were directed to a converted private room/banquet space. We arrived around 6:10 and there was only one other guest In the space. The space was definitely lacking in any real atmosphere with vacuums, and make-shift service areas. Our server was mostly attentive, but it seems as if restaurant staff was embarrassed by the setting as there was rarely any staffer around.
I could forgive the location given the renovations, if the food was stellar. Sadly, the food was lacking too. The antipasto was fine. My wife and daughter had the spaghetti and meatballs and the sauce was overly sweet. I had the gnocchi and grilled chicken. It was ok at best? Not sure who thought it was a good idea to have the gnocchi swimming in a bowl of cheese sauce? It was way too heavy.
We overheard another couple who came in while we were there who had to send back their lasagna dish because it was not cooked through.
I would avoid this place for now.
The facility is under renovation at present. Food is excellent and moderately priced. Portions are larger than expected.
Wow... just wow, I walked into the restaurant with my wife and autistic child. Immediately I was greeted with excellent customer service. When the food came out I could automatically tell that this was cooked by the magical touch of Sebastian Rhoades and Nash. The desert was out of this world, some could say I was floating away. Would 100% try again and we will be back!!!
Great place! We go there with friends! Delicious and fresh food!
Sebastian (the cook) made the gnocchi that reminded me of my mother’s. 10/10 best food ever and beautiful plating. Thought I was in Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant

Hotel Italian restaurant. Food isn't great, ambience is definitely not great, but service was awesome
Food and service were excellent. Wish the parking was a little closer to the restaurant entrance.
The food was excellent, especially the salad that we shared. They even brought out two plates for us to serve ourselves from. It was an unusual combination of spring mix with cooked butternut squash, Brussels sprouts, dried cranberries, and croutons, with a delicate vinaigrette. The shrimp with pasta and Mediterranean salmon entrees were both very good. We tried two of their specialty bourbon cocktails, and enjoyed both of them. We satin a cozy corner couch-style table, which was comfortable and more intimate. We ate at 6:00, and there were only a few tables occupied. I hope that they have more customers later in the evening. It seems to be a hidden treasure. You should try it!
Very friendly staff. Ordered the Nona lasagna and was very pleased. Not what you expect from a restaurant inside a hotel.

Mark was fabulous! The atmosphere was very quiet and nice. Definitely a hidden gem. I recommend it for a nice, quiet meal. The meatballs were delicious!
