When we first arrived, we were told that they couldn't take food orders for 15-20 minutes due to kitchen being backed up (the restaurant was busy but not overly crowded). The food took a long time to come. Our appetitizer and main course came within minutes of each other. My husband's food was wrong. He sent it back. Around 30 minutes later, we never got his food and cancelled the order. Our waiter was nice and friendly and apologetic and gave us large discount. But no manager ever came over. It seemed other tables were having similar issues with long waits. The food we got was fine.
This place is so good. Never had anything bad from here. Whenever I go past, I think man we have to go back there.
I've had schnitzel, French dip, soft pretzel, beer cheese. All delicious.

$17.50 for 7 wings. The wings were not crispy and the “hot” sauce was not at all hot. The Paisano sandwich lacked flavor.

Limited menu. Food good but not great. Potato cake inedible and greasy with little potato and lots of burned coating. Wursts are excellent, not fatty and no gristle as often you find. I have had much better meals here. First questionable dinner ever. A disappointment. I likely will return for the winter menu that included pasta, wurst, onions and peppers in a killer marinara sauce. I hope that dish returns.

This was a very disappointing lunch time with my friends. The waiter was very nice but the service was super slow. A couple came in after my table of 4, they ate and left before our food was brought out. Two of us MUST eat gluten free (1- celiac, 1- highly gluten sensitive), and they changed chefs, staff, and probably management too. No more gluten free menu, no gluten free appetizers! That means zero confidence for a customer who eats gf as a way of life, not a fad! Wow, it was a huge shock that things changed so fast here. This was not in your favor, you'll see, especially when MAHA, make America healthy again is just getting started. You lost at least 10 customers that I know of. Change isn't always good!

Our first trip to Olde New York, but not our last for sure. Pleasant pub-like atmosphere but a large space and I imagine when it's crowded, it quite loud. We were there on a late Sunday morning and there were few others in the restaurant. Certainly some New York deli style offerings but having worked in Manhattan for many years, it's not quite typical. That said, the food was good (where else around here can one get pastrami!) and the service was excellent.
This place is great and has awesome owners! It is a very clean well maintained establishment, with great service and great food. Plus many of the offerings are unique or not something found on every menu like a chain bar and grilles. They have perogies and several German dishes! The prices are very reasonable. If going to a Penn State event highly suggest dining at Olde New York!

Always a good experience and meal when in town. Well done, Kenny and team!
Older New York is my favorite restaurant in the area. Great food, great service, and super nice people.
Portions are small ....Tasty though
