Sold as “Life Member” of Pub Club only to not have it honored or grandfathered in after change in policy/program (and no refund). PURE BS. No longer coming. Don’t get scammed!!!

Great place with plenty of seating, a good variety of food & drinks on the menu, and TVs to watch the game.

Had to ask multiple times for out drinks initially. Also, food took more than 45 minutes to come out and was cold. Nothing impressive about this restaurant.

Staff service and meals were excellent. Don't order the brownie if you like chocolate, it's just sweet.

I used to come here so often. After moving away I hadn’t been back in a few years until today. As many others say, things have changed and not for the better. The food was mediocre at best. The sweet potato fries were terrible. Do not get them. The meat on the Ruben was skimpy. Everything else we ordered was just okay. Vegan and gluten free options provide something for everyone and I do love that they have those items.
Our server was decent. She never brought us plates for our 3 appetizers so we ate them on our napkins but otherwise she was nice. A few times throughout our meal management was yelling at the waitstaff in the bar area to pick it up and work faster so a little grace for the server seemed appropriate. Unfortunately due to the decline in food I won’t be back anytime soon.

Otto’s gets all the stars in my book. Exceptional beer, food, and service. I spent many Firkin Fridays here for years. Highly recommend!!

I went to Otto’s with some friends who are from the area. I was so excited to try out a local spot. The food was fine and the young man who waited on us was prompt and polite. However, the issue came when I forgot my credit card at the restaurant. I realized that I forgot my card an hour after I left the restaurant. I am not local to the area and would not be passing through until Sunday. I explained this to the woman on the phone. She verified that she had my card and would hold it for me. When I came today to pick up my card, the manager was unable to find it. When I asked her to please check again she became very visibly annoyed and started avoiding me. When she finally came back it was with another manager. This woman spoke to me kindly until she realized who I was and remarked several times that she didn’t realize that I was the woman that she was supposed to be talking to. She immediately got defensive and after some sarcastic comments from her I left. As I was leaving the manager offered to pay for the beer that I already paid for. No, thanks. Whoever owns this place, your staff needs training and more organization. There is no excuse for this to happen and then be met with rude, unapologetic employees. Don’t go here if you want to be treated with respect.

I love this place! Stop by every time I am in town. The strawberry and kale power bowl is to die for. I highly recommend it. I can't wait to go back to order it again!

I didn't order food but had 2 beers brewed in house. Beer was excellent and price was average. Service was very good.

Apparently beer is famous.
The price is not that high either. It's much bigger inside than it looks outside. It seems like you can have a regular meal or just drink at the bar counter.
I also bought a beer as a souvenir that said it was made in State College.

Ok, keep in mind that this rating is based on state college standards. This is a 2-star place in NYC. But for state college, it's pretty good. Staff is friendly, the place is clean and a nice vibe. Food is typical, but at least they seem to care and have decent quality. The price is good. Just like the rest of state college restaurants, they can not handle a crowd. Long waits, they can not understand how to do reservations, and they won't let you tailor your order when they get busy. Typical state college restaurant freak out when they get busy. Most likely staffing issues. Otherwise, it was ok and worth a stop. It is one of the better places in the area and recommend.

Food is always bang-on. Service fluctuates. I felt I was inconveniencing Ian as a single guest. He was more attentive/friendly to parties of 2 or more. Hopefully just an off night for him. I will always come back, however, as the food is fabulous at Otto’s!
