We went to eat chicken gyros with a friend, it came with a very spicy sauce (we couldn't finish it), we both got sick from the wadding after eating it.

Shaker's Grill Food Cart... Yup a food cart, I haven't seen too many of these in my neck of the woods being that I reside in TX.My first impression was like "yo this is pretty dope". Shaker's has a nice feel to it, the people were very friendly, and the food came out hot and quick. However, I feel like you have to be here at a good time of day, I mention time of day because it's located in the eye of the storm. Slap in the middle Nittany Lion country. Home of Penn State University football.College students are everywhere and you know when class is out their inner hunger monster comes out to feast. I got there right after the real rush.Let's get into the grub though...We had two plates, mine was a Gyro/Chicken mix my wife's was Chicken both came with seasoned rice and a salad. White and red sauce. As soon as I smelt it, I knew I had to get at it. The day was kind of muggy so we didn't sit outside but it was a great front side date night.Anyway, the gyro meat was hella tender the rice was spiced right, the chicken was finger licking and the red sauce will make you holler. All things side I would definitely recommend Shaker's if you are in the area or if you want to hit the road for some good grub.

For $11 I keep getting the lamb over rice with both sauces and it is AMAZING!! Also, I usually eat a lot, and they serve so much food that I'm almost always full after I finish it.

Street food doesn't have atmosphere so the food stands on its own. Great food.

I am so confused on the high rating! The guy in there was so rude. Had the worst attitude! We got two lamb gyros and a piece of cheesecake. The gyros were alright but our appetite was ruined when we opened the tinfoil wrapped cheesecake. There was a mosquito smashed Into the side of the cheesecake. Didn’t know that till I had a bite in my mouth. Tasted freezer burnt too. We took it back to politely show the guy and he had the audacity to try and blame it on US. I do not recommend.

It serves delicious halal food. I do love its lamb over rice with a juicy lamb, fresh salad, and tasteful rice. I like its ginger drink, a unique drink!!!

Had one of each, chicken and lamb gyros... Very similar to shawarma that I've had in the middle east. Very very good!

Took my wife, 3 teenage daughters, and two of their friends... we all loved it! And good, fast service. The man behind the counter was polite and nice. We'll be back for sure!
really quick good food for a cheap price. Also amazing working hours especially for a late night meal

This is a neat little place to order gyros and other meat & rice dishes. Would recommend this for a late night snack option. Very popular place so sometimes there are long lines!
Sushiplease ..
Absolutely the best Halal, make sure you get the red and the white sauce! I wish they had a better location that was easier to get to for non-students who arent walking, but I guess you could park in the parking garage. It's cold out there in the winter! I hope that they one day open a dine in restaurant.

I haven't eaten here yet, but it provides a great public good with just its aromas. So glad it's on this corner.
