My son and I visited on a bitterly cold Saturday during a college tour. To be honest, I feared this was an over-hyped place that was simply popular because of its prominent location close to the university. Couldn’t be further from the truth. Pretty good spot, great location, and decent food. They were kind enough to let us order off of the dinner menu even though it was before 3 which was nice. Can get busy, but no reservations are allowed. Had a large group and it wasn't a problem when they aren't busy.
Work brings me to Penn State often and I will literally go out of my way to come here just for the Egg's Benedict. Service is always amazing, the atmosphere is amazing, but what is simply extraordinary is how the kitchen staff manages to serve up hand paoched eggs, homemade hollandaise sauce, and the best Benedict I've ever eaten in less than 5 minutes.
