Came early Friday night for dinner. We had a large party, but called to make sure we could be accommodated. After arriving and getting on the waiting list, we waited for 40 minutes, and decided to check on the status of our table. We were then told it was still over an hour for a table to become available…we were initially told a table was clear and they were just waiting for another to clear so they could push them together for us…instead they sat the empty table they were holding for us. Absolutely terrible management. I don’t know who is waiting almost 2 hours for burgers and fries in State College, but it’s not us. Just annoyed we wasted our time here. If you value your time, I wouldn’t waste it trying to get seated here.

fries were warm and old tasting. the fried pickles too and so greasy the crust fell off, easily. the waitress had no sense of him our. it was the first time i ever went there. my husband wanted to try a new place. Will never go back to eat there.

The table fries are delicious & the Juicy Lucy burgers!! The atmosphere is lovely. Very friendly staff. I definitely recommend if your in the Penn State are to eat here.

This is a great burger bar! My wife and I stopped here for lunch while road-tripping through Pennsylvania and this made for a great stop for us. The restaurant is spacious and has lots of wooden booths, which was very comfortable. They have a good selection of PA beers and I really enjoyed my IPA as it paired well with my burger. I got the hot chick burger and it was delicious and very filling. My wife got a grilled chicken spinach salad and she really enjoyed her meal as well. We split a side of garlic parmesan fries and they were cooked well and were quite tasty. It was a really nice place to grab lunch and one that we would frequent again if we're in the area!

Wasn't really that special for the price and the waitress kept on pushing us to leave. We haven't been there an hour yet even and were still eating and talking. The food was also cold and the order was wrong. Won't be coming back. They were out a lot of things.

We chose To visit Field Birger last night after a long travel drive thru Ohio and Pa. The place is welcoming and has a great initial feel..... Our server Zach did a great job....... Those are the plus points...... The bar screwed up a gin and tonic w club soda, French Onion soup was like warm, lacked cheese but was tasty and the burgers are served on worm out flat objects that aren't very appealing. All small issues but add up to a very sub par experience. Burgers and fries are good..... shape up the other aspects..... small things make a difference unless you're satisfied with mediocre.
