Not the same as only six months ago. Maybe an off night, but I don’t think so. Grilled Calamari appetizer was only so-so though it was, at one time, the star of the show. Pieces were smaller as was the total size of the order. We all ordered the gyro platter which was just ok. The meat seemed like it had been processed and warmed up. Accompaniments were underwhelming. Thank heaven the baklava cheesecake was great or this would have been a bad experience. We’ll come back, but we really want it to be great again. It was barely good on this visit.

I got a lamb gyro and a cup of tomato basil soup. The lamb was cooked perfectly, but they went WAY too light on the tzatziki sauce and onions.Soup was very delicious, I recommend.

Went there tonight for dinner. I was honestly a little dissapointed. For the price, the portions aren't very big. Also, the apps and main were lukewarm. This is probably due to us being on the second floor and the kitchen is downstairs. Overall decent food, just a little overpriced.

Arrived for our reservation for 4 guests, and we were seated at this lone table beneath the stairs. Initially I thought, this is the worst seat in the place, but it totally is awesome! You're all by yourself in this little cove--so cool! Also, Radisson was our waiter---super awesome and attentive guy. Unfortunately I live 3 hours away and was visiting friends in the area, but if and when I return, Beneath The Stairs I will go!

We took our daughter, a PSU student, to dinner at The Greek. Our reservations were for a Friday night, and we were promptly seated upstairs. Keep in mind, the restaurant is BYOB. Had we known this (it was impossible to figure this out from reviews and their website), we would have brought our own wine. Nevertheless, we each ordered a glass of local wine which was reasonably priced but just okay. Our food, however, was delicious. We started with the chicken avgolemono soup (my daughter even ordered one to go) and enjoyed a variety of dips along with a mountain of pita. They were all delicious. We also shared chargrilled fresh squid and shared a Greek salad. Service was friendly and efficient.

A hidden gem in Happy Valley! The Greek is tucked behind Waffle House and opens up into a huge restaurant that is completely Greek inspired in decor and delicious food. We had a variety and nothing disappointed. My favorite was the dip sampler and the stuffed grape leaves but the gyro was also very good. Gabi was our waitress and she was very knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive. They have a range of food options at all price points but you could easily have a very affordable nice night out. There is lots of seating and a very affordable drink menu (a bottle of wine for $14) to choose from. A great option for sit down dining or take out.

Very easy to get reservations on open table to a superb restaurant. The service was very efficient ..believe Mariana....food consistently good, hot, enjoyable ! We like it also because it's a BYOB!

Have been going to this place for about a decade, with friends and/or family. Also had take-out from here occasionally. They put a lot of effort into the decor and it looks nice. The food is also great. I get the chicken gyro every time. Try the Greek fries as well, they are delicious. Definitely worth a visit.

Really great local sit down Greek restaurant with 2 floors, hidden just off of Atherton. Ambiance is simple and nice. A typical greek menu and the food was authentic, fresh, and very good. The tzatziki was tasty on the gyro platters we ordered. Definitely recommend this place.

Sadly food has gone downhill. My gyro was a greasy mess. Thrown on half cooked french fries should not even be in a gyro. Belly dancer is always fun though.
