What a nightmare. Ordered food well over an hour and half ago and never got it. Called three different times and they told me it was on the way each time. Place is a total mess. Would not recommend to anyone. Save your time and save your money.

Worst general tso chicken I’ve ever had. Soggy, dry, bland, and some pieces tasted completely different than others. I’m surprised how high the reviews are. Clearly state college residents have no perspective of real American Chinese. $14 for a plate I can’t finish. Terrible.

Called in an order for pick up it was a plain lo main and plain fried rice I asked if they’d put broccoli in both dishes tossed in the same sauce. I get there go walk to the door there’s a guy passed out in the chair the lady asked me my order I got it there was 2 soy sauce I asked for some more sauce I like it saucy if I need to pay for more I could have. She gave me 2 more soy and 2 duck meanwhile this is not just for me it’s feeding 3 everyone need at least 3 sauces for the unsauced lo main noodle I got never ever will I be going back they continue to disappoint. Honestly I’m just taking the picture the noddles look tasty it looks good but it tastes like chemicals straight up chemicals there was hard burnt pieces in my noodles I didn’t even take 3 bites before not being able to stand it anymore.

This is my favorite restaurant in State College. The workers are nice and the food is great.
Uncle Chen's, in my opinion, is the best place to get good Chinese food in State College. It is always prepared exactly the way I order it. I've been getting my favorite tofu dish there for many years and it is not on the menu. I've never had an issue ordering it.

This food was amazing. I was a little nervous when I saw the low rating but honestly it seems like most of the negative reviews are not related to the food. Also I'm sure it's hard out here being a takeout business in a college town and I love seeing the restaurant owner stand up for themself. Go Uncle Chen's!
In terms of the food, the fried rice and lo mein were definitely American Chinese food vibes but we're very good. The 'Tofu with Hot Sichuan' was amazing and reminded me of flavors from my time abroad in Shanghai/Beijing.
The delivery driver was very friendly and punctual.
