Broth is all the same for every kind of noodle soup, also has a lot of msg. Really wanted to give a 4 but the food quality is mediocre at the best. Although the owner who’s also the chief is very friendly. And the hand pulled noodles is house made. Self serve restaurant besides the owner brought the food to table.

I love this place, but it is true their food can be either hit or miss. So far I loved every soup I got from here, especially egg and tomato! It is such a comfort food. They also have other dishes that doesn't seem too authentic, which I haven't (wouldn't) try. I have recommended this place to my friends but always told them to get actual Chinese food, not like ramen. The owner is also very friendly. I don't speak any Chinese but I could see he cares about his customers. He remembers his recurring customers and makes sure they are satisfied with their service. Overall, this is a great place if you know what to get, or have a friend who can explain you about the menu.

I walked in and ordered the oil noodles. The woman next to me ordered the exact same thing and got a nearly full bowl which I thought was very odd. I looked at the other people seated in the restaurant. They have gigantic bowls of food as well. My takeout food was less than half full. Also, the meat is very very strange. I’m not sure it’s beef. I decided to do a little test. I got my friend to go ahead inside and order the oil noodles to go. He goes in and get it and comes out. I go ahead in and order the same thing and literally got less than half a bowl, while it was full. Very bizarre. I kind of felt like I was being discriminated against. That’s all I’m gonna say about that.
We ordered lamb stick, vegetable vermicelli/rice noodle soup, pork rib udon soup, and cold sesame noodles. Everything was really good, especially the soups. Atmosphere, like the flavors, was very Chinese, every other table was Chinese students. Service was pretty quick considering how busy they were.

I tried the liang pi 凉皮 here a few years ago and just now tried the oil sprinkled noodles 油泼面. Both came in really short for me compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area - the liang pi was watery and didn't have enough vinegar for me. The oil noodles were okay but they didn't really have any discernible chili or garlic, it seemed like it was just black vinegar and soy sauce with oil mixed in. It was just a dull brown color. The first time I went in person and thought the cashier was pretty rude, but the second time I ordered online so they may be long gone.I really wanted to like this place because I thought it was neat to have a place specializing in Xi'An food, but it just doesn't quite hit the mark in my opinion.

I always get the tendon skeweres and the tendon and tripe udon soup and it always comes out perfect I love it!
It’s like losing face with the word “Xi’an”! I suggest the boss stop insulting Xi'an. The food tastes terrible. Is your Liangpi family short of red oil? Just put sesame paste? A big plate of chicken made into a stew? It only tastes like salt without any taste, are you kidding me? Do you not add soy sauce to the braised pork in Roujiamo? A mouthful of pig smell?

Ordering was simple, just used a device. Once order was complete I was handed the food/the food was also placed in a pick up area. The service is good, you just get in and out. Difficult to talk to employees, that’s totally OK. Food itself was good. A bit basic tho, but still good. I’d get food there again. ?
It was authentic but not authentic at the same time- Portions are great, broth is nice. Liangpi noodles are good even though they’re also not exactly authentic (light spicy sauce made with a hint of peanut butter instead of red chili oil). The “soup-filled dumplings” are actually pork buns so the menu could use a quick edit.
I got fatty beef udon. Meat was tender. Broth was refreshing and mellow. Noodles were also very good. Customer service was okay, just some small language issue.
We like the soup base and the broth here.
