Rude lady! I wanted to try tacos from few different places. I called ahead and ordered 1 taco to try. If I enjoyed their tacos I planned on coming back sometime with the family for tacos. She took my order and said they have no cilantro. I said that is okay. When I went to pick up the taco she gave me an attitude and said next time I need to order 3 tacos or more at once (when I clearly saw the online menu price for individual tacos being $3 each). She said she will be getting in trouble for selling me just 1 taco and she will not do it again. After leaving I realized she also overcharged me.
Made the drive, wasn't open even though it's an hour still until they supposedly close.
F.Y.I. STEELTON, PA — LIVE RODENT IN RICE, COCKROACHES IN FLOUR AT MEXICAN RESTAUANT Food Inspector’s Report from Dauphin County: El Gallito Mexican Baquery III, 750 Front St. Steelton, Complaint, December 1. Fail. The Person in Charge did not demonstrate adequate knowledge of food safety in this food facility, as evidenced by this non-compliant inspection. Observed the following: Visible evidence of rodent and insect-contaminated foods, observed a live rodent in a container of rice, as well as numerous live cockroaches in a container of flour in the rear bakery area; Produce in the display case on the sales floor observed to be moldy, spoiled and/or slimy to the touch and is otherwise unfit for sale. Numerous food ingredient containers observed being stored open with no covering in the rear food prep area. Observed numerous food ingredient storage containers in the rear food prep area not labeled with the common name of the food. Observed dead cockroaches and rodent droppings on the table-top mixer in the rear food prep area. Observed numerous adhesive pest control traps in both the rear food prep area and the bakery area with a potential to contaminate food or utensils due to trap placement or close proximity to food items. Rear door located in the back area of the food facility has a gap and does not protect against the entry of insects, rodents, and other animals. Observed the following: Food facility inspection indicates evidence of rodents/insect activity in all areas of the food facility, but facility does not have a pest control program; Live rodent inside a container of rice and live cockroaches inside a container of flour in the rear food prep area; Live cockroaches also noted in the wall partition separating the fresh meat area from the rear food prep area; Rodent droppings, too numerous to count, throughout all areas of the facility; Potential rodent harborage areas identified in the facility due to observations of rodent nesting areas and chewed/destroyed foam insulation throughout the facility; Facility is not removing dead or trapped pests from control devices frequently, as evidenced by numerous adhesive traps, too numerous to count, overflowing with dead insects and rodents. A live rodent was also noted in an adhesive trap in the rear food prep area. Old unused equipment stored should be removed from the food facility. Observed unused to-go containers, boxes and unused/broken equipment throughout the facility, creating a potential for rodent harborage points.
The bakery items are nice and fresh, and you select your own stuff and bag it. Signage would be helpful because I don't know what anything is in there, so we just get stuff and hope for the best! The food place connected to them is almost always empty but it's delicious, my son loves the horchata and I love the Jamaica juice. The quesadillas are delicious!!

The whole family loves their desserts. Especially the Tres Leches. We stop in about once a week.

This is not a posh dining experience, but the food is authentic, plentiful, and reasonably priced! Order at the counter and they’ll bring it to your table. From there, they will serve the table as in any sit-down restaurant. The atmosphere feels fast-foodish, but that won’t deter us from visiting regularly. They’ve got a great selection and an amazing store next door. We bought items you can’t find anywhere else around here. Their chocolate con leche flan is amazing!
I had to ask for tortillas chip and salsa as she won’t give any. Salsa had more water than anything. I asked for a torta with extra avocado and it barely had any. I had to wait and think to taste the avocado.
