Sandwiches were close to $11 each and then fountain drinks were extra. My husband ordered a sandwich from the menu and his was pretty good yet small. Me and my 2 sons got the "make your own" sandwich and one son was missing cheese, another was missing veggies, I was missing the buffalo on my Buffalo Chicken. We got the cheesy pretzel bread app for 5.49 and it was the size of a matchbox. The bill was over $60 for 4 sandwiches, 3 fountain drinks and a minuscule app. This is a tourist trap for sure. Wish we had not left a tip. They didn't even bother to cut my sandwich in half. Terrible.
A quaint Isaac's tucked away in historic Strasburg. The kitchen staff are some of the friendliest people I've met!
We ate here for the first time (we are from out of town). The food was good and the portions were good. Staff was friendly and helpful.
I enjoyed my experience. I was overwhelmed with the menu because I wanted all the sandwiches. The twisted chicken wasn’t too great- the pretzel bun wasn’t done and the whole was short on flavor. But the actual sandwiches (like the Rueben) my friends picked were good. You get a tasty pickle on a bag. It’s not 5star but I’d stop by again.
Got a quick lunch before riding the train. Excellent turkey, spinach, red onion with honey mustard on a pretzel roll with french fries and a dill pickle.
Delicious sandwiches. The staff did an excellent job, especially considering there were only 3 of them and they were swamped. Definitely will return next time we're out there doing the train day with the kids.
This place is an utter ripoff. The only reason it probably gets business is due to the fact that there’s no other food spots by the railroad. Four to go meals cost $60. This includes 3 chicken tender boxes and one quesadilla. The chicken tender boxes had 10 fries and 2 tenders. Oh I forgot to include the drinks which was almost $10 for 4 drinks. I could’ve bought 2- 12 packs of soda for the same price and cooked up a better meal than I ate here. Food is borderline bland. If you’re going to the railroad for the train ride I suggest driving 10 minutes out of your way to the burger king. That food is better than what you’ll get here.
This is not the sane Isaacs that we are used to. It is not full service, you have to order your food and seat yourself. They bring you a to go bag. The pepperjack tomato soup is the only thing that is the same and one of the main reasons why we come back. They changed the French bread they use and it is not very good. They changed the chips they give out from a medley to just plain kettle chips. One of the things we look forward to, the bowl of pickles, was replaced by a soggy single pickle.Needless to say, we are disappointed.
Great food but disappointed there was still no table service due to the restaurant veing unable to find wait staff. The top of the line tomato pepperjack soup loses a little luster when served in a plastic container with plastic spoons. 5 stars for food but a 3 star overall experience.
We brought a group of 42 to Issac's before riding the Strasburg Railroad. Although I had to call in the orders the day before, they seemed overwhelmed by our group. The difficulty was in paying. Their credit card machine demanded a signature and two or three receipts. It really slowed down the process of getting the food. Fortunately, I had allotted enough time for lunch. They were very patient in dealing with us, however.

It was terrible. No more wait staff. Stand in line, order and receive a bag at your table with food and plastic ware.
delicious food
Ordered a Mediterranean salad today, the lettuce was brown and wilted and bad the onions were rotten and smelled horrendous. Total waste of money.
The wife and I visited Isaac's this past Sunday and we were surprised that, there was no wait staff working. You can order food at front counter and seat your self. They will bring food to you but you have to get your own refills on drinks and empty trash. Little weird but the quality of food haven't changed. Still delicious pepper jack cheese soup, generous portion of meat on the sandwiches and the deep fried cheese curd is awesome. I miss my friendly waitresses but food alone is worth the 1.5 hr drive from home. Only rated 3 stars due to confusing instructions on how to order food and self serv to a degree. Only thing I can say simply is, it's not full service restaurant right now.
We ate here at lunchtime on a Saturday. Service is currently order, sit down, and they bring it to you in take out containers. My wife had some of the best chicken tenders she's ever had eating out. The kids devoured the dino nuggets. My Mallard was good and the fries are very good.
