This place is really great! Last time I ordered from here I got the Shrimp Dinner with Candy Yams and Mac & Cheese. This time I got the Sweet & Spicy Wings with Yams and Cornbread. Everything is so delicious! Very generous portions, enough to for two servings. The owners are very friendly and the restaurant has a nice welcoming feel. Definitely give it a try, you will not be disappointed!
The food is exceptional. I had Smoothered Turkey Chops, collards and Mac & cheese, my only complaint is they are not prepared for large parties (14) for dine in. As far as food, this is the best. They give you plenty of food, they are known for take out, as people were coming in every two minutes for take out orders. I would definitely recommend them. The next time I’m in the area I will be stopping by.
Got lunch from Soul Food Chess House today, my first time eating with them, and it was delicious! Oxtail with mac and cheese and seasoned french fries. Service was quick and super friendly. I will absolutely be back again.
