The food and service were amazing. Everything is homemade down to the butter. Definitely 10/10. I just wish they weren't byob and could serve alcohol. Otherwise amazing!

Beautiful place with delicious food and great service. We came in a slow day and the waitress made sure that we had everything we needed.

We were here in March with two other couples. We have been here many times over the past 7 years, and it never, ever disappoints. Everything was perfect, and the food was excellent as always. Looking forward to returning soon!

Earlier this month I invited 33 guests to a celebration of life luncheon, in memory of my beloved wife. Chef Bill. his wife, and staff did a wonderful job providing exceptional service for this occasion The food was excellent. All my guest were impressed with how delicious the food was. From the gourmet cheese tray to the fabulous Apple Crisp with Jack Daniel's Hard Sauce desert.. If you are looking for really nice country resturant, wher warm service and wonderful food made from scratch still exist, than make a Friday or Saturday reservation soon. The chef and staff will go out of their way to make you and your guests feel very special.

This is a cash only BYOB restaurant--and bring your own glasses to avoid a service charge of $2/glass. We went with another couple and we are "old", noisy environments are not our friend---and this was exceptionally quiet---we could effortlessly carry on a conversation. The food was excellent, as was the service and everyone enjoyed their meal. I ordered the smoked brisket and asked that it not be lean. The waitress told me that the chief trims all the fat off. Apparently the customer comes first has limits, I would have been happier to trim the fat myself----but that is the only (and minor) comment. I also had the chicken livers in a madeira wine sauce, an appetizer that was one of my favorites 40 years ago under former owners---it is still excellent! For an unrushed and enjoyable evening give this a try, you will be rewarded.

A few of us went out for a small employee dinner. We could not have asked for a nicer experience. Des and Billy were wonderful. We had crab cakes and filet. They were delicious! The lump crab meat was so plentiful and you could cut through the filet with a fork. Dessert was amazing as well! The establishment was full of history and very cozy. We will definitely be back!!

The Francis Kaufman House was an awesome dining experience. I joined my coworkers for dinner and it was wonderful. I enjoyed crabcakes, mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. And for dessert I had a delicious chocolate torte. The food, the service and the atmposhere were amazing. Ten stars if I could . . . . . . . .

We stopped here on a spur of the moment decision and so glad we did! What a hidden gem. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Our family has recommended the Francis Kaufman House to others and will definitely be returning again soon.

Wonderful evening. Great food, service, atmosphere. BYO, so great wine for for a change. We were in such a good mood we ordered dessert. The chocolate flourless tort was amazing.
