“My hubby is a brisket, ribs guy and I like to try any other interesting things you smoke! This past Saturday we had brisket, ribs, chicken quarters and the smoked jalapeño/cheddar sausage! As usual everything was very, very good. I’d love to see the sausage become a regular menu item. Also, I missed the pork belly you offered last year. I have a diabetic relative who loves your smoked meats because they are not sweet. You offer great sauces if folks want sweet but the seasoning you use is nicely flavorful and rugged without being sweet. See you in the spring! 🌺“

“Great food for great prices!! We particularly enjoyed the hog wings and baked beans. The chicken wings, brisket and mac and cheese were just as delicious. The smoked chicken wings were seasoned to perfection and the brisket was flavorful and tender. If you are trying to decide where to get BBQ by the river, skip the windy view across the way in favor of the better quality meats and sides at Southern BBQ and Ice Cream. Suggestion: please offer Arnold Palmers, they go great with smoked meat!!“

“Rather unusual that a place known for very good smoked meat entries would have such a good fish dinner. We've had the broiled haddock on several occasions and find it always enjoyable. Nice seasoning - not too salty- moist but not drenched in oil, as is often the case. Very good baked potato and coleslaw. An excellent value Be aware prices shown on this review site are out of date. “was highly disappointed with my recent trip to this place. we got there around 2pm and was not very busy. waited about 30 minutes for our food. we ordered three meals, once steak and shrimp, one bbq chicken and a steak and chicken fingers. brought out our food and it was barely warm. they forgot the chicken fingers and when I asked about them after waiting about 10 minutes for someone to walk by they went back and grabbed them and they had the nerve to say they were sitting back there the whole time they forgot to grab them. that is absolutely poor food management and a huge food violation.“

“New Years Eve and the restaurant was maxed out. Hostess was ill prepared to handle number of patrons causing long wait times and parties being seated out of order. They ran out of baked potatoes, a staple for a steak house. All a reflection of poor management.“
