We had an absolutely wonderful dinner in a private room with our Dental Family (for our office holiday party)! What helped make the night was the wonderful attention of our server Hoody!!! He was so friendly and added to the fun of the evening with his great sense of humor! đ
The bartenders consistently ignore patrons even when the bar is largely empty. They talk to each other facing away from clientele and when one finally gets up the nerve to interject, they still ignore you and just get you what they heard you say without acknowledging that they actually heard you. Absolutely no reason for the staff to be so unfriendly, particularly when they are entirely not in the weeds.
Amie & Colleen were fantastic bartenders. On top of things; drink orders, food orders, anticipating needs, friendly, kind, etc. Thay also keep a clean bar! Thx!
BTT never disappoints. The food is good, the atmosphere is warm and friendly, prices are very reasonable and the staff is exceptional. Amie and Colleen, our favorite bartenders, are always there with a smile, friendly conversation, and delicious cocktails - their Chocolate Martinis are outstanding. Betsy and her colleagues provide excellent service. All this happens under the watchful eye of Miss Pauline. She will greet you with the biggest smile and warm heart while making sure everything is running smoothly. We love going to BTT with family and friends.
Great place to get together for a couple beers or cocktails in the heart of Swarthmore! Nice inviting atmosphere in a great local location. Amie & Colleen are always upbeat and positive and offer amazing service as well as recommendations if youâre ever unsure of what to get. If you ever stay for dinner I would definitely recommend the beef stroganoff or rigatoni. Both Taste like home cooked meals and thatâs really rare for pasta dishes at a restaurant!
Broad Table Tavern in Swarthmore has quickly become our favorite place to go. Not only is the food great, everyone on the staff is very friendly. We go at least once a week, sometimes more often, and we often sit at the bar. The bartenders, Amie, Colleen and Zoe really know how to make great cocktails and there are a lot of fun to talk to. The place has a very nice vibe with seating at tables (outdoors in nice weather) as well as the bar. We think the prices are reasonable and we can almost always walk right in with no wait. On top of all that, the crowd is friendly and weâve gotten to know some of the other regulars from the neighborhood. We highly recommend Broad Table Tavern.
My wife and I had an outstanding dining experience at The Broad Table Tavern, and a huge part of that was thanks to our server, Hoody. Truly, he was the best waiter we have ever had. From the moment we sat down, Hoody was incredibly friendly, attentive to every need at our table, and impressively quick with service. His timing was perfect, his recommendations were spot-on, and his conversation made the night even more enjoyable. You can tell he genuinely cares about creating a great dining experience. The management was equally impressiveâthe manager stopped by twice to check in and make sure everything was excellent. That level of care really stood out. As for the food, the kitchen delivered flawlessly. The roasted duck was cooked to absolute perfectionâtender, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The Black Angus ribeye was equally phenomenal, perfectly seasoned and cooked exactly as ordered. If you're looking for incredible food paired with top-tier service, The Broad Table Tavern is a must-visit. And if you're lucky enough to be served by Hoody, youâre guaranteed a fantastic night.
Amie and Colleen are amazing! I love how friendly and personable they are. I think they make the best Chocolate martini!
Aime and Colleen are the absolute best bartenders! They make you feel so comfortable and theyâre truly great people! 10 out of 10!

Stopped in to check it out as we're looking for a place for a family gathering next month. Food was ok, but service was not good at all. We sat for over half an hour before someone came to get our order, then another 20 minutes for the food. Restaurant wasn't busy at all and it looked like there were plenty of people working, but just really slow.
Visited Swarthmore on a beautiful autumn Saturday and had a wonderful brunch at the Broad Table Tavern. Excellent omelet with organic brown eggs and decadent Bourbon French Toast.
The food was amazing. I highly recommended the ribeye and the wagyu meatballs. Hoody was a fantastic waiter and made the night great!
Had an amazing dinner tonight at Broad Table Tavern in the â„ïž of Swarthmore, Pa. My friend and I each had the steak entree. We subbed out the sweet potatoes for mashed potatoes (because ya know steak belongs with potatoes.) Served with broccolini and roasted petite carrots and a delightful bordelaise sauce. Our server, Hoody, provided excellent service and was so kind. We were the only ones dining on the patio this evening as it was a little cool, but the manager still made the effort to check on us and make sure we were doing well and enjoying our meal. All in all a great night with an excellent meal and impeccable service.
I canât begin to explain how wonderful Hoody made my anniversary experience dining at the Broad Table Tavern in Swarthmore. He made us feel so welcome. We didnât want for a single thing and he was consistent with checking in on us. 10000% recommend - especially dining with Hoody!
