We Google mapped directions for Kimchi Wasabi and it took us to this location which is not correct. We realized the correct search should’ve been Kimchi &

Unusual surroundings for an Asian restaurant (it’s obvious the building started out as a different cuisine), but even though there were multiple large tables being served, we were well taken care of , and in a timely manner. The only trip up in service was the lack of asking if we wanted any beverages. We sat without anything to drink until we were offered water once our appetizers arrived. The sushi was excellent - we had a Dragon roll and a Firefighter roll (jalapeño) as was the Korean BBQ (Dolsot Bibimbap) his served in a hot stone (the menu says stone, but maybe it was metal?) bowl, I had mine served cold. Reasonably priced, this is a spot not to miss!
I'd give a C..waitresses were very nice..food was just ok. was very hot in there. just a small a/c unit for 2 rooms.

The building may be a throwback to the cheesy 70s of the Poconos, but it is all Korean and Japanese when it comes to meals. I ordered sushi and was thrilled with their version of the Philadelphia roll (salmon, cream cheese, and avocado). However, none of the sushi I had purchased really stood out. I was looking forward to mackerel sashimi, but it was dry and seemed to be oddly smoked in some way. The service was excellent but Sarah Street and Yusan in Stroudsburg have stronger, fresher flavors.
Saved our vacay! Excellent food, decent service. Period! The food is rich and flavorful. Very clean sushi and sashimi. Very nice Udon and short rib, Bangin' pickled diakon radish and yummy kimchee. Just good stuff all around. and Oh, the place has kimchee in the name? Thats the funk you smell when you walk in the door for the first time! lol
I went to Kimchi and Wasabi after vending today in Stroudsburg. All I can say is my friend and I ordered several appetizers. Then for dinner I had Dolsot Bibimbap. I can say this is the real deal Korean food!!!!
I was traveling through the area and came upon Kimchi & Wasabi. The menu was extensive and food absolutely authentic and delicious. I wish it was closer to where I lived. If in the area, and you crave Korean food, this place will not let you down.
Gave this restaurant a try during a recent visit to the PA Poconos. The restaurant is easy to find, right on Rte 611. My one complaint was they could not accommodate my gluten free dietary requirement for their Korean or Japanese dishes. I ended up having the sashimi appetizer and two vegetarian rolls. The fish was very fresh and the rolls were tasty. They did provide packets of tamari to mix with the wasabi. My husband tried the Bulgogi Korean hot pot in stone bowl. He said it was very good. I had little taste and agree. Authentic. I would recommend this restaurant as long as you do not have food allergies.

Realmente delicioso y diferente. Muchas gracias.
Great food definitely will be going back .
This was our first time at Kimchi and Wasabi and we were amazed! We ordered a sushi roll, appetizer, and a Korean soup/noodle dish, and everything was top-notch. From the outside, and the relatively remote location in the heart of the Poconos, you may not think this place could serve up genuine Asian cuisine... and you'd be wrong. The atmosphere is quaint and rustic, but the folks in back know exactly what they're doing. This place is definitely a hidden gem. It sits atop our Pocono-Must-Eats list, and it will probably be on yours once you try it. Enjoy!
Best Sushi in the Poconos!
