Was in the area for business and try the oxtail plate. So good I had to stop by to get another order before driving back to Brooklyn! Can’t wait to be back and try some more items on the menu. ??

Visited on 8/18/2024 about 6.30pm was told my food was made to order and it will take about 25 to 30 minutes no worries I’m not in a rush so we ordered one hour later our food is ready Jerk Salmon with beans & rice & salad this was OK but the beans & rice was bland and you could count the beans next was coconut curry shrimp which was very disappointing very bland with no taste of coconut or curry and the rice & beans was bland next was OXTAIL which was overcooked and dry the Rasta Pasta was ok but lacked flavor next was Jerk Chicken with beans & rice the chicken was overcooked and dry very disappointing the only thing that was ok was the Mac and cheese for the little one about 6 customers came through while we were waiting and at least 3 complained about service and quality I thought I would at least have some tasty food in the Poconos but I was disappointed

I don't know if I was being pranked but the food here was not great . I don't know if there was a different cook but the Jerk chicken was a 3/10 especially for the amount you get and the price . And my order of Oxtails peas and rice was more Rice then Oxtails. The steamed Cabbage had a faint smell to them so I tossed them in the trash. Me being a butcher and them feeding me Oxtails not to par was not exceptional. I had also asked to add fried plantains to my order and they only put One slice of fried plantain in my order like it was a war going on and we were living on ration. My order had more rice than everything else and four pieces of Oxtails but really two whole pieces and two Oxtails that were cut in half to make two sad. Plus the Oxtails were dry with no sauce. This dish 2/10 . For the distance to get to this place plus the price is definitely not worth the drive.

The food is very delectable and authentic. The food is truly Jamaican, the food brought back memories of St.Thomas jerk chicken in Jamaica. The jerk sauce is truly delicious, full of flavor and spice and the curry goat extremely tasty, full of flavor. The staff and the food left a great impression, the place is a must if you're at Great Wolf Lodge, Camel Back Mountain or just in the PA area. EXCELLENT FOOD !!!

I'm so glad I made the hour-long drive to this hidden gem! As someone from the Allentown/Easton area, I've been disappointed with the Jamaican food options locally. But this restaurant truly delivers! The customer service was top-notch (A1, as we say!) and the food was authentic and delicious. Paula was professional and answered all my questions.

Their jerk chicken is the real deal - they actually jerk the chicken in a drum pan, just like back home. And the rice and peas? Taste just like my grandmother's cooking in Jamaica! It was like a taste of home.

The drive was well worth it, and I'll definitely be back. If you're craving authentic Jamaican cuisine, don't hesitate to make the trip. Your taste buds will thank you!

Paid $18 for 3 oxtail and a tray of rice and was given the smallest oxtail ever. Highly disappointed. Dude told me it was the best oxtail on the mountain. Umm i’ll pass!

This is the best Jamaican food and maybe even food in Pocono. The patties were so delicious! 10/10 would definitely come again.

Just ordered from there while at Great Wolf because we wanted something else other than the usual burger and french fries but I will certainly not go back again, and I definitely do not recommend it; 5 pieces of cut up chicken wings for $15???? That is robbery. I spent almost $80 there and couldn't even properly feed my kids, smh.

Best Jamaican in all of the Poconos! Even better than a lot of places in Brooklyn where I am from. Highly recommend the jerk and brown stew chicken, and for a little extra you can get both in one plate!

Near where I was coming from I noticed a Jamaican restaurant.I stopped in to see how the food tasted. I must say that the prices were very expensive for what I ordered. The jerk pork was not fully cooked . It was wet and still had the bloody rate to it . As the person told me if I can wait 10 min. He will have it cooked. As he had none ready at the time . I waited.the woman that prepared the pork put jerk sauce all over the meat to mask the fact that pork was fully cooked. ( I am a cook and knows what is fully cooked)the jerk chicken was ok …a little dry as it was not fresh .i can’t complain about the chicken . It was seasoned pretty good (could have had a little more spice to it tho) the peas and rice was ok it had little flavor to it but could have rate if it had gravy . I opted out because it looked like the curry chicken and oxtails were swimming in oil . I had high hopes for the small restaurant but I will pass next time I’m in the area. Btw today was a very very hot day. They have absolutely no air conditioning in the searing area. Although I was not pleased with the food the staff were nice. Also it is wheelchair accessible.

[Poconos 5 stars ?]No need to look further. Get some jerk chicken and oxtail dishes from here.Ordered a few in the menu, red snapper, jerk chicken, oxtail and pasta. All are flavorful and nicely cooked. Fish was done simple but just right. Jerk chicken was juicy yet flavorful. Oxtail was just so soft yet not oily. Cabbages were also very good!We ordered right before closing so we expected some dryness and leftovers from the kitchen but oh boy it was def better than my expectations. When in Poconos, I will come back here once again.Good stuff.
