This place is great! Fun atmosphere and twin peaks vibes. The food is great, they always have something new on special and the veggie burger is awesome.

This place a gem. Fun atmosphere, helpful & generally amazing staff, creative drink menu, and absolutely incredible food. The menu is beautifully crafted and features a variety of upscale eats that few places in town feature or do this well, and that you're not going to find at any other eatery on the block... Escargot, beef tartare, and frogs legs, prepared creatively and at the highest level, and available in an atmosphere certain to entertain fans of David Lynch's work. My partner and I are delighted to be regulars at this place...highly recommend!

Hemlock House presents as a beighborhood bar/tavern and indeed that is what it is. However, the food and service make it so much more. Very good beer and drink menu. Eclectic food menu featuring items far afield from. the usual bar offerings. We enjoyed the fried artichoke hearts and steak tartar appetizers. Our meals were terrific, eye opening! And our waitress treated us like we were her only customer.

Hemlock House describes itself as serving "irreverent food," and they aren't kidding. I came in expecting a burger, but I stayed for the Frog Legs—the gochujang brown butter buffalo sauce is an absolute game changer. If you are looking for boring bar food, go elsewhere. Here, you have to try the Beef Tartare; the quality of the Snake River Farms beef really shines, and the soy cured yolk adds such a rich texture. For the main event, the Duck Burger is a must-order. The combination of a duck and beef fat patty with luxardo cherries and boursin cheese sounded crazy on paper, but it was incredible. This place is a culinary hidden gem.

They have a really eclectic menu here, and it's all delicious. The drinks were great too, and the service was prompt and efficient without being obsequious. There was a comfortable buzz of conversation, and not too noisy.

This spot serves one of the best, most underrated burgers I’ve ever had. The beef patty, infused with a subtle smokiness, is cooked to perfection, delivering a juicy bite every time. Each bite transports me to the vibrant streets of Seoul, where the air hums with the aroma of Korean bbq. The sauces and toppings are meticulously chosen, leading to an explosion of flavors at every bite. I’ve eaten burgers in Chicago, LA, and New York City, and this one easily ranks among the best. It’s surprising more Pittsburghers aren’t raving about this place—it’s a true hidden gem. To every Yinzer burger aficionado out there, you need to try this.

This place is great; great doesn't even do it justice. The food was phenomenal (we got the 'It's... Green Burger' and the nashville chicken burger), the wine was superb, and the SERVICE! Julia was absolutely amazing. Could not have asked for better service to top off a great meal with fantastic ambiance. If you come here, you will not regret it. 10/10

This is a review from awhile back.
I really like this place, the vibe is chill and cool, the menu is fun and a little different. The bar tenders are good.
They have one of the best burgers in town and also the broccolini app is nice. Everything I’ve had is good and I want to go back soon

Kinda want to keep my favorite spot hidden but they’re too good to keep a secret. Tony is a gifted mixologist who has only ever made me the most delicious cocktails. And do not get me started about the kitchen. Really delicious vegetarian appetizers: best broccolini and artichoke I’ve had in my life, no jokes. The burgers are also excellent, including the veggie substitutes (my partner is vegetarian). The two pasta entrees I’ve had have been light, hearty, and packed with flavor. Very large portion sizes. Such a regent square gem.

You can tell from the minute you peek in the window that this place has a cool vibe. Wooden, austere atmosphere with nicely spaced candled tables. Very interesting menu, we shared apps: broccolini, artichokes and scallop hushpuppies. All three were delicious. Had a tasty Jeremy burger cooked to perfection. The amazing (and huge) salted gingerbread dessert was worth fighting over. The drink list is a lot of fun, too. The ‘old fashioned gin’ was superb, and my friends liked their wine, nice selection. Angela was our waitstaff and could not have been nicer or more attentive. Hemlock House brings a really nice vibe and great food/drink to the east end!

We just finished a wonderful meal. The ginger bread dessert was out of this world, and I’m not usually a dessert person. The cocktails were also fantastic. Our server Clara was very kind and fun, and very patient and helpful with our many questions. Already looking forward to coming back!
