Murphy's is the best. Friendly faces, cheap drinks, pool by the hour, snacks, and exceptional bartenders. Happy hour crowd is super chill and as the evening wanes and the night begins, the bar becomes more and more lively. I have had endless good times here. This is easily my favorite bar in the city and what I imagine heaven is like. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
Stopped by for my second stiff whiskey of the night. The guy at the door carded me... in 62 years young, I mean, come on. Any way, nice little spot to take a loud off after a long day. Friendly crowd too. I would've stayed for a third stiff whiskey if I didn't have to make it home change out the catalytic converter on my mint condition 1989 Honda Accord, only a hundred and fifty miles on that bad boy.

Murphy's a great, old-school, no-fuss dive bar with a dying neighborhood vibe, which the next generation will not know that they are missing until it's too late. It's super friendly, but in representation by the staff and the locals that crowd around the bar, and as it's a cash establishment, it's more than affordable. It's a real dive bar, so the beer and drink selection will not be too extensive, but if you're looking for 60 different kinds on a rotating tap, you're in the wrong...read full review
