“This was my first time here. I highly recommend. The environment was friendly and full of different groups of people having a blast. Some were watching the game on the big TV's, some were playing the available board games. The music was poppin'!!! People of all ages were there which I thought was cool. Everyone was having a blast and I will be back. Staff was friendly and helpful!“
“I love the burgers at twin peaks. I recently started going here, and I fell in love with the hangover burger. I buy the billionaire bacon as well, sooo good. I like the fries as well, but they have a bit too much seasoning for me. I also enjoyed the blonde beer. The staff is also pretty cool never had an issue with them. And I can't wait to go back and get another hangover burger.Vegetarian options: Salads and they have bean burgersDietary restrictions: Just ask them to take whatever off or exchange the meat for beansParking: A lot of parking just a tonWheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp in the front, I believe.“
“I sometimes have a hard time finding this little neighborhood bar. It's a gem. I feel like it's kind of like a phantom bar that phases in and out of existence, like something out of Brigadoon. It defines the word 'cozy'. The food went from reheated pizza to (now) very respectable bar food. It's always chill here, and the prices are right. Bar staff are consistently friendly. It's good that this place is hard to find. It's for locals, and people that know how to behave in bars. If you can't respect that, you shouldn't go.“
“Fun little southside bar. I usually go for trivia on Wednesdays and it's always a great time. Only complaint is it's a very small bar and doesn't have a lot of seating. All of the food I've tried has been good also. I highly recommend trying the wings.“
“I Love Triangle Bar & GrillDestroyer Meatball Subs!I Call Ahead For Two. The Meatballs, Bread,Cheese And Sauce Never Disappoint!Their Sides Greatly Compliment The Sammiches. Macaroni Salad Is My Fav.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp at the front entrance which facilitates wheel chair access.“
“The Bulldog is an all around lovely experience. The food- absolte 10/10. Staff 10/10. Drinks 10/10. I'd like to keep this a secret but it's too good to not share. Not to mention, the owner is a gem and deserves every bit of the business.“
“Gordo's is great! Let me preface this review by saying I love Nashville Hot Chicken but outside of Nashville, TN is has been difficult to find a "hot" chicken that compares to what I've had in Tennessee. Some other places around the Burgh have Nashville Hot Chicken but the spice combinations don't work. At Gordo's the Nashville Hot Chicken Taco is so good with a perfect spice blend. It tastes like hot chicken tacos that I had at Pie Town Tacos in Nashville. Gordo's is the place in Pittsburgh to satisfy your hot chicken craving. Not to mention, their other menu items are delicious too. And they have great margs. My second favorite menu item is the Churoli- A churro and cannoli hybrid that rocks!“
“A nice neighborhood bar. All of the staff are very friendly. Prices are very reasonable. Lots of tv’s to watch a game. Mostly domestics on draft with a few crafts. Their smash burger is one of the best I’ve had anywhere in a long time. For the price, it absolutely can’t be beat (hint - go on a Wednesday). I’m telling you can’t get a better burger for the price anywhere.“
“Always have a good time here! The bar is clean. The bar food is good. And the drinks are delicious! Bartenders are all super friendly and I love when they have alexia events like the Meatball contest, etc. My only complaint... it can be kind of loud. Sound deafening materials on the ceiling should definitely be in the future. Otherwise, call me a regular!“
“I have always wanted to visit this place after hearing so much about it from all of my friends that live here in town I was pleasantly surprised by the fun atmosphere there's a lot of places I go to alone where it feels weird to sit there alone but I was more than happy to observe all of the boisterous and happy groups of people just living their best lives love the atmosphere love the beers and I hope to be back someday“
“This is me and Barry White, the owner! He is an amazing person, bought me a few drinks, made sure that I had a drink, and opened up the other part of the bar that also had pool tables, darts, and a jukebox. It was quieter in there, and he was kind enough to even turn the heat up for my friends and I. I love going here and will keep coming!“
“Paying homage to the steel workers who would (allegedly) bring a steak to work for lunch, slap it onto a cooling steel bar to sear it, and then flip it and repeat before eating, North Shore Tavern lives up to this age old tradition and modernizes it.A lightly (and deliciously) seasoned chunk of meat is brought out on a STEAMING hot stone. The aroma is amazing from the start. Grab your fork and knife, and then cut the meat into slices to finish up to your desired doneness.I opted for the lamb, and it was one of the best meals I’ve had in a LONG time. Perfectly seasoned, tender, and cooked exactly how I liked it, since I was the one finishing. Top it off with their chimichurri and it was literally worth writing home about ( I called my fiancée on the walk back to the hotel).Without a doubt a gem of Pittsburgh“
“Stopped in for the first time, bartender was super nice and attentive. Ordered food which came out quick, and was very good at a great price. Not sure about the bag of chips, but have seen this before. All in all a nice place with nice people.“
“Great neighborhood bar. Friendly attentive staff. Food not as good as pre- covid and definitely a little pricy....but good for bar food. Great jukebox and tons or tvs. Clean bar. Daily specials. Parking can be a pain in the evening. My go to bar.“
“Best neighborhood bar you can find.Locals are welcoming and bartenders are great. The view is great and the owners are kind - everyone looks after each other and unless there's a random j**** you'll be treated well.tldr/ Great prices, great view, great neighborhood.“
“My girlfriend and I went here not sure what to expect, but we had a great time. Our host for our booking was very kind and explained the rules of how curling worked and worked with us to teach us how to properly throw. He also helped us keep score. He was very encouraging and kind and made our experience fun. The rinks were groomed nicely-not like the olympics but for a local curling venue-was very pleased. Just want to thank the staff for their friendliness and fun that we had. I cannot remember his name, but he was a big reason of why we enjoyed this experience.“
“The wings were fantastically cooked. I am not a huge fan of the pizza sauce. I like a sweeter sauce, and this one had kick to it. Next time, I plan to say light on the sauce, or try one of the other options. We were part of a large group and the servers kept up with it, even though we were all over.“
“Friendly owner and staff. The food is very good as well. I'm a regular hereParking: There is a parking lot that is free to parkKid-friendliness: People bring their children in sometimes.Wheelchair accessibility: Their is a ramp. No steps to climb“
“I love this down to earth blue collar lounge. They keep it simple and so are the prices. It is a great place for a burger and beer after riding the mountain bike in South Park. They can handle a group of friends too. The waitress and cook are very accommodating. They have daily specials like mum use to make. Who does like grilled cheese and a cup of hot tomato soup?!“
“I'm such a fan of Modern Cafe! Even though I no longer live in the area, any time I'm on the North Side this is my go to spot. The vibe is super casual - seat yourself. They have a large bar menu with local brews & cocktails. Their menu is really big with lots of options. I love the cheese sticks & zucchini plank appetizer - it comes with marinara and a horseradish sauce that is delicious. My go to has been the Turkey Rachel. It's delicious and very filling. It doesn't come with a side but we always get a basket of fries for the table to split, they're crinkle fries too (my favorite). Service is always quick and friendly. I always forget to take pictures though, but trust me, you don't want to miss out on this spot!“
“Let's just say after hearing about Primanti Bros. All weekend , and now finally getting to experience this amazing place and the history they preserve thru the amazing food and the story behind it . Let's just say I am an instant fan of Primanti Bros. And there delicious preservation of history. Equally, I'm a fan of Amy, the waitress who took the time to go over the history behind Primanti Bros. She is such a delight, an add bonus to the whole experience.“
“Came in for an EAGLES SUNDAY!! Our servers were the most friendly and attentive ladies. My dad and I split the classic 1 with no swiss and an order of hot garlic parm wings. The sandwich was great. The rye bread was lightly toasted and the red pepper relish was just the right amount of heat. The wing flavor was great and they were a decent size. We wished they were a little more crispy, but they were definitely a solid 8/10 as is. The fries were pretty good! They were lightly seasoned, but also not super crispy. They have two bathrooms, one downstairs and one outside. My dad said the one outside was clean, but the con is that you have to walk outside to get there. The decor inside is great. You can tell they love sports. The vibe is exactly what you want for a game day. I'll be back!“
“What a fun little spot to stop in for a drink before & after an event. We dropped by for the 1st time b4 the Pens game (& after if course). The owner Jimmy was so gracious, so friendly to talk with. The crowd wasn't too bad (we even started taking to a few other PENs fans, that was nice) , the food was really good. So if you're looking for a good place to hang out, grab a bite & a drink be sure to stop at Shale's. I know I'll definitely be back.“
“Super super friendly staff very fast with drinks and our food came out pretty quickly as wellAlot of food I got 12 wings big wings and decent amount of frys and it was karottate no I didnt sing but great place to get something to eat and or drinkParking: Big parking lot“
“Murphy's a great, old-school, no-fuss dive bar with a dying neighborhood vibe, which the next generation will not know that they are missing until it's too late. It's super friendly, but in representation by the staff and the locals that crowd around the bar, and as it's a cash establishment, it's more than affordable. It's a real dive bar, so the beer and drink selection will not be too extensive, but if you're looking for 60 different kinds on a rotating tap, you're in the wrong place. It's dimly lit but no longer smokey, which is great when you just want to hide from the world.Nothing bad to be said about the place, and it's nice to be treated like you're part of the neighborhood, even as a married-on person (my husband lived here about a decade earlier, and so he's still recognized by staff and regulars).“
“Staff, food, and vibe is amazing. I’ve been going here for about 6+ months and the bartenders always greet my girlfriend and I warmly (we’re the 1 yuingling draft and bottle couple!). Doesn’t matter if it’s been a few days, months, or years, the staff at Saloon will always welcome you with a pint and open arms!“
“Brought my son for his birthday and needed the manager for a promo and a game. Tamara (spelling?) was incredibly helpful and very nice! Thank you!Update: Restaurant related. They used to have an awesome bowl with veggies and we planned on eating this for dinner after play. Unfortunately that item is gone. My husband and I are vegan for health reasons and other than a side salad and rice, there are no options unless we wanted to pay full price for a salad with meat in it and hold the meat. Manager (I think was a manager) offered us a side salad but we have to go elsewhere for dinner. Wish there were more healthy options!“
“Come for the wings, stay for the wings! Not a fantastic beer selection, but if you want domestics on draft, this is your spot. It's perfect for watching whatever sports game you're looking for too. The staff is super nice and it's actually kinda quiet on a weekday...as long as it's not a playoff game.Yeungling for $3 on Wednesdays? Yes please!“
“Great spot to watch a game and drink domestic! The vibe in here is super friendly, very yinzer. They have all the domestics on tap and a good variety of bar food. One of my friends ordered the cheesesteak and said it was, "very good". We shared the hot pepper cheese balls. They were definitely crispy and cheesy, but not hot (spicy)! Just fyi in case you're worried about the heat. Definitely get them!“
“Having moved away, it's been thirty ish years since I last had a Primanti bros sandwich, and it's still as tasty as ever. Sure, slaw and fries in the sandwich may seem a little gimmicky, but it goes together well and you can see how it would have been convenient for workers/drivers in the strip district.Anyway, it's a busy sports bar. And a bit of Pittsburgh history, though you might not be able to tell since they're busy selling sandwiches and aren't trading on their local fame. Maybe the original shop in the strip district will have more memorabilia type of stuff. The Oakland one doesn't... And doesn't have room for it. IIRC the Oakland location was their first expansion out of the strip district. Now they have many locations in the greater Pittsburgh area.“
“Came for happy hour after work! Got to sit outside on the patio great atmosphere! Drinks were good and the food was great!! Just ordered some pickers: fried pickles, Nashville hot popcorn chicken (so GOOD), and Caesar salad (amazing). Our server, Brian took care of us! Great personality!! Thank you!! Will definitely be back!“
