“We stayed at the Chateau during a winter storm. It was pretty bad out, so we decided to eat at Mountainview. I was a bit hesitant because of the reviews. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was busy. The bartender was also the only waitress. Although she was extremely busy, she was also extremely proficient. Our cups never went empty. We did have to wait longer than expected for our food, but given the circumstances, we understood. Our food was actually very tasty with a nice presentation! I will visit again!“

“A great old neighborhood bar, with super friendly service, good prices on drinks, and a limited but very good selection of food. I had their Super, which is a cheese dog wrapped in crispy bacon... incredible! Older crowd during the earlier hours, and ESU crowd later. With a visit.“

“Came up this weekend for homecoming. Absolutely loved the place. It’s small and quaint but it’s literally in walking distance to the university. It’s also above a restaurant, a cigar lounge, across from another amazing restaurant. Will be coming back and staying here.“

The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned — especially the seafood boil, which was packed with juicy crab, shrimp, and corn drenched in delicious garlic butter. The staff was super friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was lively and fun without being too loud. “We had an enjoyable dinner with my wife, college roommate and his wife. The atmosphere was enjoyable, just enough noise with a great looking room. The service was outstanding, and the food was highly enjoyable. The French Onion Soup was delicious with a unique puff pastry topping. The house salad had a mixture of greens, blue cheese, cranberries, nuts & seeds with a mild vinaigrette dressing; overall it was fantastic. Finally, the entrees were varied, large and enjoyable. This is an absolute gem and well-worth visiting. We will be back when we are in the area again.“

“I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Firstly the temperature outside and inside was well balanced and I thought the varnishing of the bar complimented this greatly. This was a good break from finding a room mate at college. I ordered my steak raw and it was delicious. I love eating it raw. Hope to be back soon with my boyfriend and his sons.“

“Our first visit to Derailed Taphouse was fantastic, thanks to our server, Nico. We were a party of seven celebrating a birthday, and from start to finish our service was impeccable. Nico was attentive without ever being overbearing, super friendly, kept great conversation, and made sure every single order was correct. He checked in at all the right times, kept drinks filled, and genuinely made us feel welcomed. He turned a good meal into a great experience, and because of him we’ll absolutely be back. “Terrible service. Poor manners, no training staff except for the cook. I would not recommend to eat here. We just arrive, we didnt able to sit yet and look at the menu, the chubby lady was already asking for the appetizer and drinks. My 2 year old son french fries was not even finish yet but she took the plate without asking. The food choices are just few, more buffet out there are way better than this restaurant.“

“We recently had our wedding at the Camelback Summit House, and we are very pleased to say that the entire experience was nothing short of amazing. Weddings, planning, and all the details in between can certainly be stressful, but the staff and personnel at the venue were incredibly supportive, attentive, and genuinely easy to work with.
In addition to hosting our ceremony and reception at the Summit House, we also held our after-party at the Trails End Bar and enjoyed breakfast the following morning at the Hemisphere buffet. Everything flowed seamlessly. Our lodging accommodations were also excellent, and we couldn’t have been happier with how the entire event came together.
Camelback made our special day even better than we imagined. We highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for an exceptional wedding experience.“
