I loved this place! Emphasis on past tense. But now they implemented a new rule that if your meal is over $150, there’s automatic 20% gratuity. Which is no problem because I usually tip over 20% here but when you don’t receive 20% service it’s a rip off! Management said they implemented this new policy because of the low tip they have gotten, should that say how the service is here? We were here the 24th and all of a sudden this is a new policy on the 31st. This was distasteful and unpleasant to see. Won’t be returning.

I live nearby and Bierhaul has become one of my go-to spots year-round. My wife and I have an active 6 year old and in nice weather this place is hard to beat - great outdoor seating and space for a kid to move around. Interior is also great - I like how there are televisions for sports but it's not obnoxious like an actual sports bar. I have found the food to be largely excellent - not everything is a home run but overall the quality is very good, the portions are large and the prices are fair (wings are outstanding). Beer selection is good and interesting rotation. I see some people have complained about how it''s crowded at times, and it is - this is an area where that's not so common and guess what, welcome to popularity! That said the service has always been solid and even when it's crowded the staff make an effort to be available. Highly recommend.

This is a very cool place with pretty good food, rustic charm, and nice staff. If you're used to a European beer pour, though, you won't get your glass filled all the way to the top here. Expect a big head. Bar seats aren't comfortable.

I thought is was very delicious! The pizza was great and so is the French onion soup also, the potsticker is where immaculate! Overall, I would for sure go here again.

Decent food (fried green tomatoes must be cooked better though) and good service BUT the parking lot smells like rotten sewage and the fan over the toilet in the ladies's bathroom spewed dust on me - it's about 2 inches thick. Ick! If you're not cleaning that, what else aren't you cleaning?

After a perfect night of being treated like a true, old friend by Frank at the bar (thanks so much for turning me on to Parabola!), surrounded by warmth of every kind, I'm already happily planning my first return! Thanks for welcoming me in from the cold, Bierhaul.

Sat outside on a beautiful November day. Service was lightning fast. Food arrived quickly too. Had the Shepherds Pie as did my boss. Both of us really enjoyed it. My coworker had the fish fry which he also liked and was a generous. My boss is Belgian, and he found at least 2 beer selections that he said were good! Will definitely return.
Parking: Dirt lot so parking spacing might be random. There seemed to be plenty tho.
Kid-friendliness: Saw plenty of kids. It was dark but it looks like there a play area or something for them

Saturday night dinner, the place was packed but we found the service acceptable, not great but good enough. It was nice seeing a lot of young people working. I read about smaller portions so I ordered an app, a salad, and mussels. Way too much food! Luckily it wasn't expensive, under $20 for each massive serving. We'll go back either earlier, say around happy hour or stick to a week night.
