Great place
There are still some legit managers out there. I have been scammed before and I almost went into depression not until I saw a recommendation on a page and I inquired about the manager, I took a bold step by trading with Mr Donald Richard and right now I have made all my lost cash back within 7 days of successful trading
Incredible experience. Food is the best of the best
Great setting, but as another reviewer noted, the food was uninspired. Winter menu is small. I had wings and loaded fries. Fries were just not special. Wings had a good sauce, but were undercooked. Bartender was friendly.
Not having been to The Stables in about 2 years because of a bad experience, this visit on Saturday evening was just great! We sat at the bar for cocktails and also ordered food from the bar menu, and the mushroom soup and the chicken parm entree were delicious. Very attentive staff kept things moving.
When you arrive at this restaurant, the ambiance is charming and you look forward to a great meal. The place was decorated festively and the architecture is beautiful. That is where the pleasant experience ends. Our particular waiter was embarrassingly incompetent. I blame this on management. This young man was clueless, lazy and charmless. But he balanced that out nicely with sheer incompetence. Despite that fact, we were rooting for the meal to come out okay. Unfortunately what showed up on our plates was uninspiring, if not false advertising. the description on the menus simply did not match what was served to us. Some items never showed up(bread, appetizers, salt and pepper) and what did show up was lukewarm or cold. I am truly rooting for this place to get its act together, as it is a beautiful location. I always give restaurants a second chance, figuring that every restaurant can have a bad day. I am really hesitant to give this one a second chance. It looks like a decent place to get a drink, if you are sitting at the bar, but the food is well below average.
Visited last night with a party of 4. 630 pm reservations. Calamari appetizer was just warm and extremely greasy. Shrimp cocktail was good. Dinner was a huge disappointment. Crab cakes were extremely fishy, salmon was so so, country fried chicken was a joke and wasn’t even warm - they had also already ran out of cheese grits, ordered the Pub steak medium rare- came out over cooked and tough. They were also already out of pulled pork. Have to say the waitress was nice and she did remove two of the meals from our check. Doubt if we will be back. Rumor has it this place used to very good.
My husband and I enjoy the cozy atmosphere. All staff is attentive and personable! Looking forward to the fireplace coming alive soon, it’s just beautiful! Our go to place.
The service was very slow. He was very pleasant but had too many tables. The chili was very flavorful. The french dip was excellent. The house wine was delicious. Great atmosphere

Such a beautiful spot.. BUT THATS ABOUT IT.. The service is TERRIBLE!! It took me 20 minutes to get a glass of wine at the bar ( there were only 8 customers) Our table was served at different times. No way we could eat together. The spring rolls were good but the shrimp cocktail was warm and so disappointing
First visit yesterday but certainly not the last. Loved the history of this establishment and the ambiance. Michael, the bartender, very welcoming and attentive. Menu looks really good but did not order since we had lunch before arriving. Will certainly keep this on our list of great places to go. Outdoor area also an added plus.
Valentine's celebration with my lovely wife and great food to fall in love with both all over again. Ceviche in lime, mussels in grapefruit & beer based broth, hand dressed caesar salad w/fresh anchovie, chateaubriand in a wine reduction, crab cakes w/chunks of crab no filler over a corn sauce that was simply sublime. All cooked to order, tender and flavorful. Service was great and the Owner came over and engaged us in friendly conversation. Cudos to Owner Heather Clinger for having Chef Al at the helm. It was truly a pleasure. Lovely space, associated bar spacious and busy. A real gem.
We had heard mixed reviews on this restaurant but we decided to give it a try and see for ourselves. It was a Thursday night around 6:15pm, there was 1 person at the bar and 1 table with three women in the restaurant. We were seated in a lovely booth and given our menu which appeared to be a paper placemat but was taken after we placed our order! Paper placemats?! We each ordered a drink which took 20 minutes to reach our table! We couldn’t hear ourselves over the noise from the kitchen so we requested to be moved to a quieter table and were respectfully shown to a quaint room where we were the only diners! We ordered the shrimp, crab, and caviar flatbread which was delicious. We each ordered hamburgers, mine medium and his medium rare. Although they were very large burgers and the onion, tomato, and celery were fresh, the burgers were overdone and dry. Final feedback, expensive and underwhelming. We won’t be returning.
There is nothing to write home about as far as the total experience of our dinner at The Stables. The service was not great, and the food was nothing special.
