Food ranges from mediocre to bad. The fish sandwich’s served were undercooked and the internal color of the fish had a gray color. Two in our group were feeling ill on the ride home from eating here. Service was not very attentive. Prices charged are very high for the type and quality of food served. Highly suggest a pass on dining here.

Admittedly I wasn't sure what to expect with the new ownership, but we were very pleasantly surprised. The food is exceptional for "bar food"; the fried fish, hot sausage, and French fries are my current favorites. The owner and staff are very hospitable and welcoming. The food rivals (similar) restaurants in downtown Pittsburgh. No joke. Food went from a 2 to a 10. We will back for sure!

Could not wait to try it again. Food was good but got soup and dinner salad after meal. Was told soup was French onion but served a bowl of chowder. The bowl was $5 and it was not full bowl. Had to remind waitress about dinneroll. Wings were good for the price and baked fish was tasty. I think I would try them again but service needs to step up it more.

I understand their just getting things going there. But we waited way to long for our food and we didn't even get it all at the same time. My husband and son finished their meal first, then my granddaughter got hers. When she finished eating we still waited for my daughter-in-law and mine. We got our appetizers at the end of our meals! Then they charged us for an extra meal on our bill to top it off!! I don't think we'll go back.

Bacon and Gouda stuffed mushrooms were the best stuffed mushrooms I’ve ever had. Owner and staff showed great customer service and the place was clean. Good experience altogether.

We went the first night they added fish dinners for Fridays. The fish was very, very good. Crisp outside and tender flake center. The coating had a nice flavor to it. We've been to many places in the area for fish and this was top 3. However, the fries were a bit undone and the coleslaw was so dry, it didn't seem to have any dressing in it. BUT...I think those minor issues were just hiccups due to it being the first night for fish and the place was packed. I don't those issues will be the norm, at all. Great service and the remodel is amazing.Update 1/10/24Husband craving wings. At first glance, 10 wings for $16 seems high. But, keep in mind these are the full wing. I mean they are big. Hubby had to take a couple home. I had the BLT...fries were on point this this time. I am looking forward to when they expand the menu from mostly bar food to dinners. I'm anticipating a wider choice of exceptional fare.

UPDATED New owner January 2024:Wow, first off the place is beautiful. Rusti, with rough cut wood then metal accents, new concrete bar top. Secondly, the food looks amazing, it doesn't really even look like bar food per say it looks much more upscale. Unfortunately my wife and I are just before we decided to stop in so I couldn't even eat an appetizer.Lastly the owner is awesome. Very kind, asks people if they can shift down a bar seat to make room for incoming people to sit together, tells stories and jokes around. We will 100% be going back in the near future.Right now is more of a test run before the grand opening March 16, 2024.I highly suggest you stop in with the new look, taste, and service.

Service was excellent! Cottage pie was great! Just a tad too much salt but that is just my opinion. Cannoli was wonderful.

First of all let me get this off my chest, I went here fully prepared to hate it. You see this was my Spot, my Bar, my Hangout and when it closed after Covid I was heartbroken. Then it was purchased, and I thought, for sure, it was going to get turned into the big city, high dollar destruction of a local landmark. However, it seems all is not lost. The help and owner are outgoing, friendly and professional. The food was excellent, not $9.99 spaghetti dinner, or $4.95 burger and fries like the old place, but very tasty, reasonable portions, and mostly affordable prices. So I highly recommend the sausage sandwich and look forward to the expansion of the menu as their “soft open” continues. Will I be back? Absolutely, and you should try it too. Be sure to give your honest opinion to the staff and I think we’ll get our Bar back .
