We had a meal the week of Christmas and were able to talk without shouting, then play the pinball machine. It was a nice local getaway. They have a pool table, modern jukebox, and boy was I surprised to see one of those old cigarette vending machines, brought back memories of upstate/Canadian ice rinks, lol! Staff was very attentive, friendly, and I ordered the local brew with recommended popular cheesesteak. It was very hearty (if on the salty side) but great for a quick bite. I took the extras home. Would go again and easily recommend.

On vacation in the Poconos and found The Brookside Inn from Google. The minute we walked in, Josh greeted us while working behind the bar too. Josh was on the ball with everything, food being served and drinks being refilled. Food was very tasty and I would definitely come back when we are here.

Take advantage of out of towners. Overcharge you and make you feel like youre in the wrong. Food is decent, but the bathrooms are horrendous. Maybe try a different local bar

The bar was amazing and the bartenders are amazing Tiffany & Nicolle are such amazing people and always give upstanding hospitality and service. 10-10 for the service and hospitality. I encourage people to give the bar a chance and enjoy and see the atmosphere.
Brookside Bar is always a great time, but Tiffany and Nicolle make it amazing! They’re super friendly, fast, and know exactly how to make everyone feel welcome. Whether it’s a busy weekend night or a chill weekday, they always keep the drinks flowing and the vibes high. You can tell they really care about their customers — they remember your usual, crack jokes, and make sure everyone’s having fun.
If you stop by Brookside, do yourself a favor and grab a drink from Tiffany or Nicolle

Food was great however the bartender was rude and tried to screw us out of money. The wings were advertised for 12 for $12. When we got the bill was not $12. We bought the issue up to the bartender and she gave us attitude. The manager/owner fixed the issue but since we were tourists they did not seem to care about us. Also the bathroom smelled absolutely horrible. Tourists beware of this spot.

The fried chicken came out lukewarm, the potato skins kinda mailed it in, but you can't beat Taco Tuesday dollar tacos. The bartender was terrific and the beer was a quick pour and very friendly pricing. It's worth a return visit for the service and drinks.

Spent the weekend in the poconos and wanted a quick lunch and some football on Sunday before we leave and we stumbled on the brookside inn. The venue was open and the staff friendly and accommodating. When the chef personally told me he was known as “the wing king” and he wanted to make his special peanut butter and jelly wings I was sold. I’m happy to report the name is justified. The wings were top notch and the sauce had pbj vibes while not being overly sweet of gimmicky. Great place for locals or anyone visiting tobyhanna
