None of that long John's or anything like that.Got some of the catfish and that fish had a nice crunch from the batter and the actual fish just flaked apart. “Last time I was here The Brookside was under different ownership and that review probably would have been 2 stars. Since the new ownership has taken over they have changed some decor and brightened the place up a bit and have started doing some differently themed food days like a wing night and a southern soul food style Sundays event.The service here has been good the few times I’ve been in. I’m always greeted immediately and helped to a beverage and given a menu. I haven’t experienced any long waits to get another drink and everyone has been very friendly.This review specifically is on their wings. We were in on a wing night and got the garlic ranch wings and the Kings hot honey wings. This wing special night has a list of sauces that changes weekly. You’ll still have your staples every week but there are quite a few that rotate in and out so it doesn’t get stale. My gf loves the garlic ranch and I’m consistently trying new flavors. I also had the blackberry bbq which were very tasty, and the plain Buffalo (The OG baby) also has good flavor.These wings are nice and crispy without sacrificing the juiciness of the meat itself. They are not tiny little wings but they are also not these mammoth ones you see at some places where it’s impossible to get a proper cook on them and still have good texture.I’ll be back in soon to try out that Southern food menu, but the wings absolutely Didn’t Suck!”

“The bartender/owner Kathy, is worth the visit. Mom and pop shop. Lots of local history and good conversation. Can't accommodate more than five people inside currently. There is a beautiful patio area that can accommodate more.. The place has a lot of potential. She is in the works of revamping it.”

“Great Food but is inside the gas station so works have to do both serving and cash register. They do wear the proper protective equipment but sometimes can be really time consuming if they have to bounce back and forth having to remove and reapply gloves in-between costumers. But I really love there chicken and definitely recommend anyone to try.”

“On our Family Vacation to Camelback and this cute NY pizza and restaurant caught our eye for dinner. The rice balls were amazing and so was the pizza as well as the seafood dish my son ordered. We decided to try the zeppoli for dessert and this took us back to growing up in Brooklyn and Long Island. Yummy! “Absolutely blown away by the food! Probably the best restaurant I’ve visited this far. The food was exceptional. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and the chocolate cake. They sat us right next to the water, which I loved! We had an amazing view of the sky turning pink as the sun set. Our waiter was also very sweet and ensured that we were taken care of.”

“Amazing ice cream and Excellent selection.My friends and I came here and went crazy. We stopped by after dinner and I’m so glad we did. They have so many awesome flavors, everyone of which were absolutely delish. The ice cream is made with fresh milk from Mannings farm if I’m not mistaken. Very creamy and definitely tastes fresh. Everything we ordered was good. So much that when we left, right before exiting the parking lot one of us jumped out a moving car (jk) to grab 2 pints to take home. Staff were very friendly and efficient. My banana split was made w love. Compared to NY these prices were fantastic, super worth for what you get and the portions are very generous. Scoops are hefty! An absolute must try, if you’re nearby stop by, periodt. YUM!”

The German pancakes are superb.We have been here many times for breakfast and lunch and it never disappoints.The staff are friendly and efficient, the layout/decor is your standard cafe/diner, no frills but perfectly adequate.Kid-friendliness: We take our 10yo and 7yo here a bunch, most of the staff are family people and good with kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Has a ramp up to doors and wide door access.”

“BEST place to get a cheesesteak on the mountain (in my opinion)! Not only is Sherry an absolute pleasure to talk to but the food DOES NOT disappoint. My kids love the funnel fries and cheesy bacon ranch fries. The chili cheese fries are a definite go to. I get a cheesesteak loaded (mushrooms, onions and sweet and hot peppers) with mayo and ketchup. Boy is it LOADED and.....OUT OF THIS WORLD. Hostess was welcoming and provided us with info on menu. Order came out timely as orders are made fresh. We ate in car to enjoy food warm but they do provide outdoor seating. WORTH IT!!! The food smelled great and tasted even better. Fresh ingredients, crispy nacos/tacos, hand crafted tortillas, tender seasoned meat (I'm drooling typing this). We highly recommend stopping by if in the area, you will not be disappointed. Cash only, but have ATM there.Kid-friendliness: Our kids are picky but ate all their food.”

“If the amount of time we spent here is any indication... we loved it! We spent 2 hours exploring the menu and enjoying our couples' time together. The place is very cozy and intimate. They have a retro, warm, inviting decor with a notable single tapered candle surrounded by a glass chimney on the counter. The kitchen is very small but packed with some fun, top-level, modern equipment. We started with a sage tea, a very berry smoothie, lox, and a ham and cheese croissant sandwich with a side salad. Later, we tried a matcha affigato, blueberry muffin, and a vanilla latte to conclude our visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will return! There is a spa and inn attached, which we hope to check out in the future! There are about 6 tables outdoors over two separate areas, which would be fun to relax at when the weather is warmer. They were very friendly and welcoming during our extended stay.”
