Very rude. Walked girl at the counter was on her phone. Never greeted us. Box macaroni, yams taste like cardboard, chicken was horrible, nothing was made from scratch, she needed pennies I gave her 50 cents worth, she had nerve to ask me if I wanted my my 50 cents. Never again. Gentleman wanted slabs of ribs, she gave him bones from the hot food section. We wanted 10 wings, she said we sell by 3, 6, and 9There were 10, they did not throw in the last piece of chicken. They're petty here. Oh and the cornbread was dry. Beware

Very tender Fried Chicken wings, and the collards had a little burn to them. Will return when I'm in this area again sometime.

We had the ribs, smoked chicken, green beans, mac-and-cheese, collard greens, potato salad, yellow rice, cornbread, peach cobbler, and banana pudding. The food was satisfactory. My only suggestion would be to allow the smoked chicken to cook a little longer — as it was not as tender as I had hoped for.The restaurant wasn’t as busy, as I had anticipated on a Sunday afternoon (which was a positive); the workers were very efficient. The young lady who took our order was pleasant—it was extremely clean, and had a comfortable feel. In addition, I thought the food was an affordable price. I can totally recommend it and will definitely come back again.

First time here tonight at around 4:30pm on a Friday.Prices: I saw a lot of reviews talking about pricing.  I noticed the menu online and the menu at the counter both listed the meal we got (brisket with two sides and cornbread) as $25, but it rang up as $22. I mentioned it to the employee in case she made a mistake. She said the prices were adjusted recently, and she'd get an updated menu printed. With things always getting more expensive, I thought that was refreshing. They've only been here 2 months from what I can see, so I'm sure they're figuring things out still. That being said we expect to pay more money for BBQ as that's the experience we've had at other places.Atmosphere: The inside is super cute and clean. I did my best to get a picture without any people in it - there were a ton of customers getting food! There is a counter seating area with stools and picnic tables outside. I parked at the closed down restaurant next door because the parking lot is a little small and was full.Food: we got the brisket with two sides (macaroni and cheese and potato salad) and cornbread. I haven't had a ton of southern BBQ so I cannot say if the food is authentic or not. That being said:- potato salad: loved it. Definitely had a homemade taste. I did find a small piece of egg shell in it but no biggie. It happens.- corn bread: on the sweeter side but not too sweet. Grainy but not too grainy. Overall nothing "special" but it's tasty if that makes sense.- macaroni and cheese: very good home style mac and cheese. Sauce is thicker vs. runnier. Not too salty, no weird spices- brisket: one of us said it was a little dried out, one of us said it wasn't. Even though he thought it was a little dry, my husband said he would definitely try it again. I also didn't ask for/forgot to get BBQ sauce (unless they forgot to add it?) so that's on me.Employees: Employees were friendly and the woman who rung me out helped the people in front of me order their food in the cheapest combo possible which was nice.Overall we will definitely try it again and order other items from the menu. The only thing I'd suggest is maybe turn up the temp on the heat table if possible. I drove 5 minutes home. The food was warm but not hot.

Please change your prices on your rib dinners. My ribs were all fat & the Mac & cheese was dry today.Did y'all clean these ribs? Do y'all take the membrane off ? I'm so disappointed money just wasted. The coleslaw wasn't even up to the line in the container ?. Please do better !!

Atrocious experience. We ordered over the phone for pickup and had to give our cc # over the phone or they wouldn't take our order. When we got home we realized that they forgot the chicken in my fiance's chicken and waffles and the cornbread for my brisket meal. But by far the food was the worst part of the experience. The brisket was drenched in sauce and the sauce had burnt onto it. The yams were excessively saccharine. The rest of our food was okay at best. Easily the worst BBQ I've had in Pittsburgh.

My experience at fix me a plate was bitter sweet. I thought the food was good, but for the price i feel like they should give you more food. I payed nearly $28 for two small slices of brisket and 2 sides. I’m not sure if i would go back, but i did enjoy the food. In conclusion if you’re grown man looking for a plate of food, just know you’re going to be hungry after you eat at this place.
